Moudy's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in O’Fallon

Very busy place and quite loud - I am guessing due to the high ceilings and there was a family with younger children next to our table. It was absolutely fine that the children were there (around dinner time, 630pm) and I am not complaining. Just mentioning it for those that are more sensitive to noise levels. It was a Friday night when we patronized the bar and grill. Our waitress, Dawn, was on it regarding the service provided, checking back frequently to see if she could refill drinks or if we need anything else. Women's bathroom was clean. Has a large L-shaped bar but we sat at a table with a group of 6 ppl. The food - we ordered cheeseburgers and tater tots and fries. The tater tots were so good. We've been here a few times in the past, and it's always been somewhere between good and ok. Unfortunately last night was a terrible experience. Given the Labor Day weekend, the place was fairly slow, 10 tables maybe. We ordered a bucket of beer, a pizza, and a steak sandwich. After getting the beer, we didn't see our waitress again for 40 minutes. When we did finally get her to our table to ask about our food, she informed us that the kitchen hadn't even started it yet. Not sure if the kitchen forgot or if the order was never put in. Regardless, we cancelled our order, paid for our beer, and left. Without so much as an apology from anyone. Nice ombious (spelling?),lots of TV's, food good,my 2 drinks were delicious and good amount of alcohol.I made the wrong choice for my entree. I chose the quesadillas which were good but they were lightly fried( I hope) or browned( I doubt). I try to eat healthy but realize you can 1 or 2 cheat days. They had black beans,rice, lettuce/ tomatoes, and I did healthy to choose chicken which was good. I recommended the turkey on mult-grain toast which looked very good and I should have chosen.The drinks had vodka,cream rum and fruit juice.
