Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store — Restaurant in O’Fallon

The ice cream is great, however the drive thru time is awful... This is a likely due to the same drive thru is for burger ordering of a same store place. We ordered 3 single scoop cones for our first visit with one car ahead of us. I have no idea what they ordered but we waited almost 16 minutes for them to get their order.... I felt like they should have ripped a page from the McDonald's playbook and requested they park and bring the food out so they don't penalize the rest of the customers in waiting. The line was now 6 cars deep behind me and with no place to get out of the line. We will likely visit again, far better than Baskin Robbins and at about the same price......just will avoid...

Everything about this place is fantastic. Their ice cream is amazing, their pizza is the best. Their customer service is fantastic. We order here all the time. The only time they ever made a mistake they made up for it and more. We got the wrong pizza got home and realized it. Went back and they were so nice, replaced the pizza, gave us a free pizza for later and gave me a free ice cream to take home. Michael could not have been a better manager or handled the situation better. Mistakes happen, it's inevitable it's how you handle them that counts and I felt like they cared. We stopped in. My husband got your great banana split. I got a scoop. They were great. As we were walking in I noticed the trail of black greasy dirt coming out of the front door. I thought, that’s not good. Then as we approached the counter I notices the floor and counter front were really dirty. They gave us a number and it was very dirty. Our table and bench were clean. So that made me feel a little better. But if it’s not clean out front does that mean it’s dirty in the back where they make the ice cream? It’s a good thing we don’t live near the store so we won’t be back...
