Five Below — Local services in O’Fallon

Love the store but watched a lady robbing them blind today while in with my children. I told the cashier, who then told his manager. The manager came out and ask the lady how she was doing. Then walked away. I then proceeded to watch the old lady take earrings off the pack and drop them in her purse. And nail polish and necklaces. I went back and told the manager I saw her do it again. The manager then loudly and quite rudely tells me, "shes not stealing shes just got stuff sitting on her purse. I appreciate it but shes not stealing!" At this point I just said wow and walked away. My daughter was horrified and couldnt believe the lady was going to get away with still doing it. The manager there is honestly just terrible. We will not be back. So i absolutely adore this store however I think it's annoying that it's called 5 below and almost everything is more, especially when I see some things that iv seen elsewhere that was way cheaper I get jt different stores different prices but ehen the title to your name is 5 below and people on a budget see the name they think "oh heck yeah" just to get there to realize a few things here and there are 5$. I just kinda feel as if it is misinterpreted. Like I said I see things there that's iv seen at the dollar store but 5 dollars there. Just doesn't make since. A well lit store with tons of stuff crammed into a crowded space. The prices are hit and miss. Everything is five dollars or less, leading to some impressive deals and some overpays if you aren't careful. This is a great place to take a kid with the offer of buying any one thing in the store. There are a plethora of toys, a small selection of clothes and shoes, and the typical dollar store fare such as party supplies.
