Coffee Tree Roasters is one of my favorite coffee spots in the Fox Chapel area. The coffee is always excellent, and their espresso chip scone is absolutely incredible. I find myself craving it all the time. The baristas are consistently warm, kind, and easy to chat with. It’s clear the staff works hard to make this a welcoming place, and I truly appreciate that.
However, there’s one glaring issue that needs to be addressed: every weekday morning around 8:00 AM, a large group of older men completely takes over the place. They occupy every table and chair, and they are extremely loud, yelling across the room, disrupting the entire atmosphere, and making it difficult for anyone else to enjoy their coffee. They are rude, inconsiderate, and make the space feel uninviting to anyone who isn’t part of their group.
It’s frustrating not only for customers who can’t find a place to sit or hold a conversation, but I also genuinely feel bad for the baristas who have to put up with this every day. It really brings down the vibe of an otherwise wonderful local business.
I hope the owners take this seriously. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. This group is driving away other paying customers, and it’s time something is...
Read moreKiss your Folgers good bye. It might take a few tastings to find your preferred brew but it is worth it. I am super picky about coffee and this particular location does not have the flavor I enjoy, but the one in Shady Side does. I am rating this so high because the quality of everything, from the front door, to their coffee cups, to their creamer, to the coffee is all very high quality. I wish they had some gluten free options for their muffins, that they had a more mild flavor coffee, that they asked if I wanted any room for cream/sugar in my cup, and that they left politics out of coffee. Maybe I am extra sensitive to it because we are in election season and it is everywhere, but I am sick and tired of politics being everywhere. I don't really want to see things that divide people. I don't care if the owners think the same way I do or not. I just want good coffee with smile. The lemon muffin...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I were visiting my mother in Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving, and for her birthday. We are from Florida. I personally love tea, and he loves coffee. The Coffee Tree Roasters offers a wide assortment of specialty roasted coffees, and a smaller selection of higher quality, non plastic, bagged tea. We were so impressed with the wonderful atmosphere of the workers, and how clean coffee tree roasters' interior is. Lastly we were specifically helped by Jacob, and he deserves all the tips in the world. We came by a few days in a row, and I asked for a cup of ice on the side to cool down my tea faster. By the third day, Jacob already remembered my cup of ice, and I did not even have to ask for it. This coffee shop is beyond incredible, and I highly recommend for anyone that is in the area to stop by, relax, and to...
