Impressions of the restaurant itself...great! It looks like its been renovated recently and well kept with maybe a few repairs cosmetically needed. The staff was great and very attentive. They keep in line with the whole covid thing too. The food we ordered; Beef bulgogi. A bit tough, but the flavor is great. Not overbearing and just right. It came on a HUGE plate that my daughter handled very well considering she still passes as a teenager. Mongolian beef. KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! The meat was tender, veggies perfect, flavor was on point, and size was just right. Dad almost had a fork fight with me over it. Sunomono with Tako. Freshly made, octopus was definitely fresh and not rubbery. Cala Cali. Another perfect dish. Calamari was tender and seasoned very well. Red dragon roll. Hands down one of the best I have ever had, and I've been to many around the world. Roll size and slices were nice. Shrimp tempura was fresh. Spicy tuna hand rolls. Another one that was the best I have ever had. You know its fast when the hand rolls get to you with the wrap still crispy. Not too spicy and not too mild. Alaskan roll. This is probably why I had to drop it one star. I'd only ding a half star if possible, and not a full star. It really seemed to be missing on the fish and focused more on the veggies. Plus the roll size was way too big. Usually I get a bit leary when it comes to restaurants that serve multiple culture foods. But I feel very happy and confident with this place. It has definitely given me a sense of hope for them. As a matter of fact...I'd definitely say its worth a trip to go from Bothell to Oak Harbor for it.

Newly open restaurant. Overall it’s ok but need improvements. Their food turn around time is slow. We ordered some avocado and eel roll it it took approximately 20 minutes or more. I noticed there’s only one sushi chef at the counter and he is swamped with other orders. Maybe he’s a new chef? The quality of food is good. I had the the chicken teriyaki and it was delish. Chicken is cook all the way. Our server was very helpful and on top off everything else (minus the sushi roll). 20+ minutes pass by and we decided to make the sushi roll to go. Also, they ran out of tuna and salmon since yesterday. Hummm. Hopefully they get better in the future. If you are in a time crunch, I don’t recommend this place. Mickey Ds is across the street with fast service. 😞☹️☹️

It’s the 2nd time we decided to give this place another chance. The first time we came here, the waiter was so rude and mean to us, yikes horrible experience. So today we decided to try again; and got even more disappointed. The miso soup was good, but the dish came all disgusting and dirty with some white thing on the spoon, the bento box was OK and to finish our disappointment I ordered the hand roll salmon skin, which took our entire dinner to come to the table and the skin was burned. There’s a difference between crisp and burned. Seriously, don’t waste your time and money eating at this place, broke my heart to say that but it’s the true. I don’t even wanna put 1 star rating, for you guys to see all the disappointment …

Updated: while the food is good, this place is lacking customer satisfaction even with the new owners. Went in with a group (always touchy with this place) okay 6 people not bad right? Would be 8 in total. We reserved the back room. Was moved & told it was previously reserved after already being seated. SUPRISE! The whole time we were there no other group came in. Right there, highly unprofessional. It was only 6pm. We left at 7:50ish. They close at 9. I drink water all the time. The waitress was rude I wanted water. We were waiting for 2 more guests who ended up not coming for a total of 8 of us. The waitress was rude, kept pushing us about the guests & tried to take the two extra menus on a slow night. So what was the big deal? After we said 30 mins in, the other guests wouldn't be coming, she became more rude & said she knew it & told us no other guests were coming in the first place. Rude! We had already ordered our food knowing the other two would be running behind. So we weren't sitting there just taking up space. Not that they were busy, still. She never refilled our waters, even after asking. I asked for a cup of wonton soup. They only serve a huge bowl for more than $12. She told me meso(?) Soup comes in a cup. Told her I didn't like that kind. She told me it was good & I would like it. To just get it. No thank you. Another older lady came out with our food. Both had no idea who got what. Kept trying to give it to tube wrong people & was rude when we tried to make it right. They also always stood on the opposite side with the plates shoving them across the table basically flopping tube plates down in front of whoever forcing their way between us like some sort of rude sport. While our food came out fast, we noticed another couple ordered there at another table. I can't speak fully for their experience, he had ate his meal & her 1 sushi roll never came out. They had the same waitress we did. She never came back to their table except to give a bill. The poor gal had to go over to the sushi bar & tell him to make it to go. I was so excited for this place. The food is good. I stuck through the ruff opening here. Our family & friends have really tried to give this place our business. After this, this place will no longer be a go to. The ages of our group ranged from 36 to 64 years old. Old review: I got Mongolian Beef. The meat was NOT paper thin like other places here in town. It has a lovely crisp outside yet very tender & moist inside. Not a bunch of fill either like onions. Great portion size & lots of meat. The sauce was fantastic! Not oily or greasy at all. My husband had a beef noodle dish that he loves. Again tender, plump meat cooked to perfection. Huge serving. Yes, they were busy. You could CLEARLY see EVERYONE who worked there was trying their damndest to help everyone & get things right. Mistakes were fixed for others & met with sincere apologies. As with any place, check your Togo orders. I noticed this system needs some work. They could use a greater & a clear way to let you know to sign in for a wait list. Everyone was so friendly. Sorry some who reviewed were met with short tempered staff, but honestly they were probably fed up. While waiting to be seated I saw 3 people blow up & over react on the staff for minor things. Take a chill pill. Relax & enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. They did an outstanding remodeling job. Very classy & elegant. We will be back for sure. Prices range from cheap to spendy. Definitely something for everyone. Some sushi seemed high but others were great deals. Oh, and if you are looking for Korean Bbq where you cook it at your own table, this is NOT that...

They should have waited a bit longer to open their doors to the public. Even after having others go and state their experience, I'm hard headed and have to experience for myself. My boyfriend and I went there because I was craving some sushi and he's not a fan. Decor is WONDERFUL. They sat us at a table, that had a stiff brass number taped to the top of the table. *hint, if your staff needs the tables numbered, place it on the side or somewhere people aren't going to cut their arm on. The waiter immediately tells us we cannot order anything with salmon as they just ran out. So only about 4 sushi roll options were available. My friends went there 4-5 days ago and had the same story. Ok, I'm flexible. Disappointed but flexible. I ordered the Bento Box 1 and by boyfriend ordered the shrimp fried rice. As we waited we observed people, the decor and what was going on. We overheard the reason why most tables weren't being served all the orders. They don't have a heat lamp, so they bring the food out as it's ready. That's fine and dandy, if they work on the orders at the same time. I saw tables with one person eating, one person waiting all over the place. Maybe they should have waited until something as instrumental to service was installed and ready for use. While we waited for our food our waiter came by and kept apologizing for the wait. While it was appreciated, the 10th+ time they said it, it just became annoying. I get it, the wait staff doesn't have control over the kitchen. Having other wait staff come to the table carrying food that wasn't ours and asking if it was just added to the annoyance. It lead me to believe they have zero organization and the brass number scotch taped to the table meant NOTHING except to look tacky. After a while by food arrived. There was no dressing on the salad of any sort. It was just a smattering of iceberg lettuce pitifully and tastelessly looking at me. The gyoza was a bit on the dry side but not bad. California rolls, meh not bad but did taste fresh. The tempura fried shrimp, it was oddly shaped, as if it came out of a box ready to be fried and tossed on a plate. Teriyaki chicken, the sauce was tasty the but chicken was also a bit dried out and unappealing. Halfway through my meal my boyfriend's fried rice arrived. Having Korean fried rice before, it was definately what I remember. I liked it but he wasn't impressed. 4 little shrimp mixed into the pile of fried rice. Service from the seating, wait staff and refills was great. Improvement needs to happen in organization of sending out food, having food for your menu, and making sure waitstaff know where the food is supposed to go. So my poor review is in the mismanagement of their kitchen and organization which killed the entire experience for me. I'll try again in several months to see if maybe they've worked their kinks out and have gotten a heat lamp so that EVERYONE at the table can be served at the same time. THAT one important step makes a big...

The first night was very busy but the food was great. Dinner took just over 3 hours. They were majorly understaffed and servers didn't know their tables and were just walking around asking people if the food they were carrying was there's. Everyone seemed frazzled and there was no sushi because they were backed up 2 hrs and not serving it once they caught up. Despite how long it took, the food was really good so my husband and I decided to do take out almost a week after opening. That way we don't take up a table or have to wait there for food. I called in and the woman that answered the phone stopped part way through answering and just started talking to someone in the background for about a minute. I called out to get her attention and it sounded like she said wait then put me on hold without telling me. A few minutes later she picked up and took my order. Basically everything that I wanted they were out of. Finally I got an order for myself and one for my husband which we went over twice to make sure it was right. She told me 40 minutes. I stopped in on the way to work giving them more than 40 mimutes and she told me to sit down because it wasn't ready. I offered to pay and have my husband pick it up. We went over the order again to make sure it was correct. My husband got there to grab it and was told it wasn't ready. He waited another 40 minutes. About 25 minutes into that they told him that what he wanted wasn't available so pick something else. He did. When he got home with the food he noticed that the meal he had ordered wasn't in the bag. Not a huge deal because we could just go get it. I called in and finally got through to someone and explained what happened(same woman dealing with all of it) and she said I was wrong because someone watched her pack it. I explained what I saw and what was missing and worked out what was charged to my card and the total added up including the item that was not there...she told me to come back Monday and she will get it for me(it was Saturday and they didn't close for over an hour)...worst service of my life the second time eating here. If they keep going this way they won't last which is a shame because the food itself is good. The service was just really bad. I've heard similar stories from others that have eaten here. Maybe I'll try again in 6months if they are still open and hopefully have worked it all out. I would have given them zero stars but it...
