The lady at the front desk, nurse, and X-ray tech were very sweet and accommodating, it was the doctor who was horrid. I got Dr. Langrock as my walk-in doctor because I had been having awful wrist pain for over a week in both hands even with painkillers, icing and braces. I tried to explain my injuries to him but he wouldnât hear out my full explanation after he felt he heard enough (which was after I told him I felt I may have carpal tunnel). He immediately ordered X-rays and walked out. The X-ray tech listened to my full injury and was very nice, I was brought back to my room and the doctor told me to just keep doing what I was doing prior, even after I told him the whole reason I went is because it wasnât helping at all. I couldnât do my job because I was in so much pain, I was taking three different pain killers, yet driving hurt. I tried to ask him multiple times what I can do to help or prevent this injury in the future for him to tell me the career fields I chose are only going to make it worse. He wouldnât tell me any preventative measures to take other than leaving my job. He tried to refer me to a surgeon which wasnât needed since he said himself that he didnât see anything off just irritation. He then proceeded to lecture me about âmyself and my generationâ when I told him I was uninsured because I couldnât afford it. I asked him if he would recommend time off from my school course in cosmo to help heal my wrists and he said yes, yet only excused two days medically and wouldnât give me any time frame as for any amount of healing. I tried to ask him when should I be concerned if my wrists donât get better and he wouldnât answer that either, only told me my schooling and job arenât going to help it. He was very rude and dismissive the entire time and I left feeling defeated and very frustrated. What he had instructed me to do for my injury wasnât helping it at all and the pain only got worse until I got advice from a family member who had a similar injury and was graced with a doctor who actually cared about their job and...
Read moreThis has never been a great office. If I was able to, they would receive no stars. Today is the day I realized how bad they had gotten. First off I set up back to back appointments gor my spouse and myself, with the same doctor. I called thinking I was going to be 5 minutes late due to a slow driver. I spent 15 on hold only to be put on hold again, then hung up on. As I entered the office, I waited my turn. Only to be told by the rep, that the office had moved. And was now another 5 minutes away. At this point we're 15 minutes late. Jumping back in the car we race over to the new address. Only to find a pediatric office! Finally we wereable to find the office, which was hidden with the other buildings, with really no signs. After about 10 more minutes in line. I almost got skipped. I explain to the new rep, how I had set up two appointments, the calling, not being informed about the office being moved, and not knowing till after going to the office I was originally told to go to, was I told that they had relocated. The rep said she would ask if the appointment could still be had, at which point I said I will call my spouse as ask if he wants to keep he's appointment as well. With in a couple minutes she was back, telling me that we would be rescheduling. At which point I told her that I would not be coming back and we will be canceling their next appointment. She actully seemed shocked! We had traveled a total of an hour one way, with the lack of needed information to get to the appointments. At this point I would not go in. Not only are they unable to inform their patients of needed information. But the lack of cleaning was...
Read moreOn Thursday 9th, after feeling nauseus for several days I had my 1st ever episode of explosive diarhea. I decided I need to see someone concerning this so I googled walk in clinics near me. I found Whidbey Health on Goldie Rd in Oak Harbor. I checked in about 9:30 AM, Friday the 10th. The check in went smoothly as did the almost 2 hour wait in my car to be looked at. The young nurse was very proficient and did a very good job. Then I waited for a PA. He poked & prodded and asked my several questions. Seemed to not have any idea of a cause. Gave me a test kit and said they needed stool samples for their lab. Provided those about 9:30 AM, Saturday the 11th. Then waited and waited. On the 14th I called and was lied to by the lab receptionist. She stated they had my results and were waiting for the provider to call me. On Thursday, the 16th, Labcorp provided me the test results by email. Again on Friday Labcorp provided me more test results. All cases were negative. so we know what wasn't wrong with me. Have I heard anything from anyone at the walk in clinic. That would be a big fat NO. Not the PA, a nurse, or even a receptionist. As a 84 year old diabetic I find this very alarming and this is why I get my medical services off-island.
As an addendum to this review after a week I finally had a call from someone at the walk in clinic who basically read my lab work results to me verbatim, i.e. all results were negative. I asked her what was wrong with me then. Her response. "You will have to come in again to find that out ". Fat chance of...
