Ok so every year since I turned 30 I have a week-long birthday party for everyone (literally, everyone - if you're reading this and want to come hmu) and one of the events is coming to this delicious place and ordering like $200-$400 worth of food everytime. And that's just the birthday week. I'm here once a week (sorry wifey!) for 3 reasons: It's so mysterious - what kind of Japanese food place is run by Koreans and housed in a Mexican Hacienda??? Chong is amazing (she's usually the one that takes my order!!) But really, the entire staff is so professional, kind, and personable! The food. If you've had it, you know. It's a TON and easily more value to me for the price, so soooo delicious!
I could go on and on. But really you need to just come here yourself. First time? Order the Chicken Teriyaki Meal. It's rice, salad (with magical dressing) and the teriyaki chicken. Like spicy? Order the Spicy Teriyaki Chicken. After you've tried these staples, feel free to move on to the other fanciful dishes. See you there! (Seriously, see you there for my birthday, it's in March so if you're reading this now you still have...

I see quite a few good reviews but my experience was not so much. I really just wanted a late lunch, but sorry, after 3 is dinner menu only, so instead of $7.75 for chicken and egg roll, it's $3 more for a salad I didn't want. Never did understand why everything has to change at 3 pm. The chicken inside the katsu was dry, very thin, tough, and seemed warmed by microwave. The chicken teriyaki was also very tough and dry. The rice was dry as well. OK, I get it, making fresh food for one guy at 3pm isn't the road to a profitable business, but serving food that was not edible leads to a bad review online. I eat a lot of teriyaki chicken and similar Asian food and this was probably in the bottom 5% that I have ever had, 2/3's of the meal went...
Read moreI'd give it 2.5 stars really. I wanted to try the sushi place across the street for grand opening but it was packed. Talk about supply and demand around here. Ran across the street to this. Got gyoza, katsu and teriyaki chicken dish. First I think the gyoza was deep fried...that's wierd. Second the katsu (or as they called it kasu) was like fried chicken strips and not anything like you'd get in a traditional Japanese restaurant(or Japan) and the teriyaki was well....not something I'd normally order anyway at the same but was grouped sauce on some grilled chicken. Plenty of food though, tossed half of it. Want quantity this place will fill you. Want Japanese food well maybe...
