This place is bottom of the barrel. Lisa, the older lady who works the counter is the worst. I have been frequenting this place since they opened and had no clientele whatsoever. I went in to order a cake for my daughters 6th Birthday. I told the lady I wanted a 9 inch strawberry lemonade flavored cake with cream cheese buttercream frosting. She said let me call the owner to verify that we can make it. I waited in store for an hour patiently while she helped other customers(a lady and her daughter who purchased a carmel cupcake and asked for more icing and purchased an ice cream cone for her child, another lady with dreads who purchased a supermam cone and a greeting card, and an older lady who bought a vegan cupcake out of the markdown freezer).I told her I wanted it exactly the way they make their pound cake. She called and verified that they could make it and informed me that it would be a $5 extra fee for the flavor on such short notice. I paid for the cake in full ($80). At 3:37 pm the day before my daughters party they call to tell me they can't make the cake the way I asked, verified they could make,and paid in full for. I told the owner that I would like a refund he hung up on me. Lisa the rude older lady at the front calls me back and ask when am I going to be coming. When I arrived she snatched the receipt from me and gave me an envelope in it with my refund. I requested that she provide me with receipt because I had another purchase that I made on the receipt, she refused and told me that it's theirs for their records. I left because my blood was boiling and although Lisa was extremely rude I didn't want to disrespect my elders. I will never frequent this place again and I don't recommend anyone ordering a cake for a special occasion do so either unless you want to be let down. How will I explain to my daughter that I couldn't get her favorite cake she wanted instead we had to settle for store bought cake...

Okay so I've passed this bakery plenty of times and decided to stop because pizza cat is my jam and its right next door. First I will say that it is very clean and smells good. The cupcakes are decorated quite nice but however the the cupcakes are overpriced. I decided to buy 4 cupcakes for $22.00 even though over priced the presentation was very inviting, 2 slices of cake one for 10.99 the other half off, and a pint of lemon bar ice cream for i believe 7 and some change. I never paid that much in a bakery but I thought it may be worth it giving the cleanliness and presentation but boy was I wrong.

THE CUPCAKES- OREO, BANANA PUDDING, GERMAN CHOCOLATE, AND STRAWBERRY CRUNCH- VERY VERY VERY DRY! THE FILLING IN THE INSIDE OF THE STRAWBERRY WAS DISGUSTING. THE FILLING IN THE BANANA PUDDING CUPCAKE WAS NOT SO GREAT. CAKE SLICES- GERMAN CHOCOLATE AND SUPERMAN. THE SUPERMAN CAKE WAS KIND OF DRY BUT THE ICING HELP WITH THAT. I GIVE THE CAKE 6/10. THE GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE WAS FOR MY PARTNER. ITS STILL IN THE REFRIGERATOR BECAUSE HE SAID THE GERMAN CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE WAS SO DRY HES AFRAID TO TASTE IT AND I DONT EAT IT🤦🏾‍♀️, SO THATS MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN. LEMON BAR ICE CREAM. THE ICE WAS REALLY REALLY GOOD (WILL PURCHASE AGAIN IF I EVER GO BACK AGAIN) AND REALLY THEE ONLY THING WORTH PAYING FOR. I’ve patronized this bakery a few times when I’m in the area. I will agree with the other reviews which stated the customer service wasn’t the best. I believe in supporting my community. I have purchased desserts from other places that had better service and the product wasn’t as good. I’ve learned not to take things too personally when it comes to service. The cashier is a bit older and not much of a conversationalist. I asked her what were the specials and she pointed to the board that wasn’t very visible because the chalk was fading nevertheless I ordered my 6 cupcakes and parfait and skipped along with my day. From my observation the older woman may not the best suited for the job of customer service but hey who am I to judge. Overall the cupcakes are beautiful. The taste was lacking on a few of the cupcakes (ie. Carrot had no carrot and was more like a bran muffin with a carrot decorated on the icing). My favorite was the traditional chocolate yellow batter. The strawberry parfait was my least favorite. The icing was hard and not very good. I typically purchase brownies when I come to this bakery but opted to try more of what they have. The facility is clean and tidy that matters more to me than the other stuff.
