Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Oak Park

I have never received worse service in my life! I placed an online order for delivery...clearly paid a 4.99 delivery fee. I called the store an hour and ten minutes after I placed the order to see what's up since the app showed the order in "make" status still. The young lady who answered the phone said it was a pickup order. I tried to explain to her that it wasn't...I paid a delivery charge and I should have been delivered. She basically told me it was nothing she can do about it and it wasn't getting delivered. She then Told me her manager was out delivering pizzas and she couldn't refund anything and I had to wait. I told her to place me on hold and to contact her manager to issue my refund. She told me basically no and then hung up. I called back and they left me on hold. I submitted a corporate complaint and then called back and had the manager on the phone. EVEN WORSE! He argued with me that he just spoke to me and told me it was pick up only. I said I never spoke to you and I placed my order online and the only person I spoke with was a young lady. He said "yes I did yes I did you called here and we spoke about this order". I never spoke to this man. I'm told him at this point it's no sense in arguing just refund my money. He told me I only paid $18+ and he will refund that because that's all I paid and then hung up. At this point I see no sense in calling the store back. I want to speak with the owner. I made a second corporate complaint and I will be calling corporate in the morning to get to the bottom of this. I wish I would have read all these complaints about the same manager before placing an order here. Clearly the owner doesn't care because EVERYONE at this location has a bad attitude. I usually go to the Ferndale location. I wanted a delivery this time and the app picked this store. I will continue to go to Ferndale. This...

I have visited this location 3 times. I walk in to this location and the first thing I hear is a women tell me in a very monotone voice "We will be right with you sir, hold on". I say "Okay" and then watch her while she is preparing orders in the back. She continues to do this same action for the next 5 mins while I am standing at the register waiting to pick up my order. 5 more people walk in during this time and she says the exact same line to the people walking in as well.

Meanwhile there's 2-4 female employees talking to each other and laughing about something. During that time I noticed my order was ready in the warming oven by the register. I then told the women that told me to "hold on" to please come assist me so I can leave. She then looked up at me with an attitude and did not say anything. 2 mins later an older gentleman finally comes up and rings my order to find that its been ready in the warming over the entire time.

The second time I returned back, there were 2-3 women in the back talking and laughing. I am sitting up at the register waiting for them to notice me and nothing...they kept on talking and laughing with each other. They didn't not notice me until I said something to them and It looked like I inconvenienced them when i did that. They then rung up my order and gave me my order. I get home to a pizza that looks like it was thrown together. They barely put any topping on my pizza, it was basically a cheese pizza at that point.

Moral of the story, the employees have better things to do every time I come to this location. They're either to busy gossiping with each other or ignoring customers at the register. I will be going to the Ferndale location...

We will never return here. The manager being the reason. We placed an online order. I went to pick it up. He said my fiance needed to come because her name was on the card....fine. I went back home and she went there. When she arrived the manager looked at her id, which matched the card, and said that it wasn't her! He then refused to refund the money on the spot. She asked could she place another order which he refused and then asked her to leave the store. All of this over 2 large pizzas for a total of 23 dollars. I loved this chain unfortunately due to this incident, I will never return to this location. I will be contacting corporate due to his actions. He was very rude to my pregnant fiance. That unacceptable. She's more upset than I am. We wasted gas and time and still were treated poorly. Absolutely unacceptable actions by the manager. Terrible service. I will not stand for that treatment when I am spending my money. Never again! It wouldn't allow me to reply to the owner so I am editing. I am not giving you all another chance to treat me or my fiance poorly. 3 weeks later and you want another chance?!? We'll pass. I'm sure other pizza chains will value our money more! Sorry but not...
