Adam's Italian Ice — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

Walking into Adam’s Italian Ice for the first time is almost overwhelming in the best way possible. The sheer variety of flavors on display is incredible and honestly deciding what to order becomes the hardest part. The service is exceptional. I asked to sample several flavors and the gentleman behind the counter never once hesitated or made me feel like it was too much. Every sample he gave me was generous, not just a tiny spoonful, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

My wife absolutely fell in love with the passion fruit and tamarind combination and I can see why. It was refreshing, tangy, and perfectly balanced. I also tried a few other flavors and each one tasted natural and vibrant, not overly sweet or artificial. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, the kind of place where you feel comfortable staying a while to enjoy your treat.

It is rare to find a place where both the product and the service are equally outstanding but Adam’s Italian Ice delivers on both fronts. We left already talking about what flavors we want to try next time and there will definitely be a next time.

Visiting from Boston and we were looking for local ice cream shops. This one was a little further than a few others, but based on some reviews, we decided to give it a try. Did not disappoint! Walking in, the person who I assume was the owner greeted us immediately and saw we were a little overwhelmed by the amount of flavors (they have a lot!). He asked us, “what’s your favorite fruit?” We all replied, and he came back with small spoonfuls of ice cream and sorbet based on those fruit, explaining all the items are made fresh using real ingredients and such. Perfect. He also explained that we can mix flavors. We all selected, and the way the ice cream was prepared was awesome! I’ve never seen it served that way (see pictures).
