I rarely if ever leave reviews on places but I have to say my experience today was so subpar I felt like I had to say something. I will start by saying our food was generally pretty good everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. Though I feel the pricing is a bit steep for what I ordered $18 for 4 small tostones with guac and pork belly was honestly a lot and I wouldn’t order it again now that I know the size of the dish. The main issues I have come to service. The woman helping us was very kinda but she was definitely overwhelmed and understaffed. Took a long time for drinks and food to come out. Our group was 3 adults and 2 babies 1 year and 7 months old. No one asked us if we wanted to split our bill or anything upon ordering. When it came time to pay there were several issues. First we were charged a $3 no cash fee. We were never asked how we meant to pay for the food prior to this charge being added. Then I asked them to please split our bill. They didn’t know how and just asked if 1 person could pay and we would all send the person money. We’re trying to be understanding so we did just that to be helpful. Then they said “tip has been included” that really didn’t make any sense. They included an 18% tip when no real service was done. We weren’t a “large party” to have grounds to include it. When ordering food things were left out of plates and some ppl waited practically the whole meal for 3 slices of bacon which were $4. On top of it all I am fairly sure there were additional things charged left and right because our total was way more than it should have been. Overall I really wanted to give this place a good review. I had heard such great things and the atmosphere is super cute. Unfortunately for me this place was a complete miss I don’t think I’ll be heading...
Read moreI normally don't take the time to write reviews, and if I do is to write something positive. But this place was beyond AWFULL...
I walked in and the placed looked very nice. However, once I sat down that's when everything started.
First of all, they took a LONG time (20 mins at least) to come and hand us over the menu. After ordering they took a LONG time to bring the orders (at least 45 mins for 2 crepes).
The crepes were as thin as a sheet of paper and had BARELY anything on them. The texture of the crepes was also hard.
Now, another important thing to take notice is that the crepes do not come with the ingredients that are in the menu. Example: if you ask for a simple Nutella crepe it comes with everything but Nutella. What I mean by this is that it comes with a little bit of caramel, a little bit of chocolate syrup, and even less amount of Nutella (and it's supposed to be a Nutella Crepe).
After seeing how my order arrived we asked the server if he could please not put caramel in the other crepe that we had ordered. Another server came with the crepe and said "what a shame, the crepe was already made". We insisted we did not want the crepe with caramel due to the fact that the caramel was not listed. To make it worse, the lady said "it comes like that".
Long story short, we insisted and she finally replaced it.
It's a complete shame because the place is VERY beautiful and you can tell the actual owners put love in their business but honestly speaking, you need to either cut the price of the crepes to half or double the portions of the crepes. Also, write on the menu what actually comes in the crepe. And talk to your staff (specially the young lady who lacks customer...
Read moreTook my mother here this afternoon for brunch. The decoration and environment were really cool. I was impressed with the design. My mother and I both ordered fruit crepes. Neither of us were impressed. The crepes are not fresh (cold), and there was very little cream on the top. I had a hot caramel coffee (coffee is very bitter). I then ordered a chicken empanada. The empanada was over cooked (burned to a crisp). The filling was more like mush of cornmeal not chicken.
All of this I could have overlooked and given another try however, they overcharged on the items (not the price of menu) they also ask if you want to tip on the system without disclosing the gratuity is already included. So I selected to tip which actually doubled the tip amount. Lastly, I was charged an additional fee for using card ( I am aware many places are charging the customer the fee) this charge was not clearly marked or disclosed when making payment.
The server was very nice and prompt. When I saw the incorrect charges, she provided the refund for the overpayment.
I hate to write a bad review because the place is a really neat environment but over charging the customer, and not disclosing charges left me feeling ripped off. Had I not been paying attention they would have “stolen” $10 from me.
The server states that the system had the wrong prices but what’s the excuse of misleading...
