Alan's Burgers — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

The first time I was willing to try this I showed up to the front of the truck, no one other customer was there. I looked in, waved. Looked like three ppl were inside, no one came to take my order. Cool, i figured they were handling other orders or prepping before they came to me. Then a lady just comes up and the gentlemen starts taking her order, and then another customer before me. I gave up after the second guy was giving his order. That was the first time, this time I was able to get a burger after 35 minutes. I understand they might be busy but the worst part was my patty was over cooked and dry. More lettuce then meet. Truly a disappointment, looks like more of a cultural thing with all the five stars. I sincerely think jr columbian (kirkman) is better, along with culvers, shake shack, and way back burgers. You want moist, flavorful, and a decent size patty. I don’t think ill be heading back. Terrible service, I have never waited so long for about four burgers in my life. The wait was about 45 minutes without notice. They were extremely rude when I asked very politely after such a long wait when could I expect my order to be ready, the woman gave me a sour tone telling me to wait 10 more minutes. I said alright and I waited 15 more minutes to which was finally ready I said “oh this was a very long wait especially since I got here when you guys just arrived and there was no one else” they told me that it didn’t matter and were very extremely dismissive to the situation they hadn’t even offered me an apology. We looked at the reviews before going and for sure, the waiting time for food is very long for a food truck. However, this is not 'fast food' and certainly not something that should be earning 1 Star reviews. These burgers are cooked to order and huge! Go there with time to spare or order in advance (they have all the social medias and a phone number) and be sure to have an appetite ready to match the epic burgers on offer here. You are looking around $10 per burger but you will not need to eat again that day. Fill your belly with great tasting food but expect to wait around a while...
