Update this time we went to try this place out on a weekday Thursday but nope it still is terrible. Took thirty minutes to be seated. The waitress was very rude snatched the menus out of mine and my families hands. When we asked the waitress if we could get a refill on the chips she didn't say anything just gave us a look that was as if she was going to strangle us and grabbed the basket off the table in a fit stomping off. She didn't come back to the table with the chips another person did and never made sure to refill our drinks didn't ask if we were happy with our food. We got to the restaurant at 10:07pm were seated at 10:30pm and ordered sweet teas and ordered almost immediately at about 10:40pm as there was a total of 7 people in our group so it was about 10:48pm before order was put in and they took about 15 minutes for the food to come out so by the time we got the food it was 3 minutes after closing. If they had sat us when we got there we wouldn't have been there after closing. There was tons of people still sitting in the restaurant and people coming in when we did so for them to rush us only and treat us the way they did was totally uncalled for. Just because my son and I had Disney attire on doesn't make us tourists we live in Florida we just happened to go to Disney and therefore came to this restaurant afterwards but you can rest assured we definitely will not be back to this establishment because there is no difference between a weekday or a week end with the service and the food is mediocre. We definitely have had better Mexican food for a better price point.
Previous review: We had to wait 30 minutes in a very crowded doorway backed up against the fire extinguisher which that is a safety hazard as the entire bench was taken in the wait area. Service was very slow, the place was overcrowded and very loud I had a headache 10 minutes into sitting at the table. Do not go on a Friday night servers can't even hear you to take your order we have to scream for them to understand, which is even more difficult with a mask on. Food was very good and hot but it better be good for the $20 price tag of the carne...
Read moreI do want to start off by saying their plating was flawless. I really was impressed by the presentation of the food. When you read the other reviews about the awful service...believe them. As a food blogger I eat out at a lot of places and I was shocked at the pitiful level of service here even after being pre warned that it would be bad. It wasn't just bad, it was bloody awful. The waitresses clearly all wanted to be someplace else and it definitely showed in their attention to detail and overall demeanor. Ok so the service was bad. What about the vibe? Well...if you like listening to drunk people yelling at football games on TV so loud you feel like you are at a Motley Crue concert then this is the place for you! However, if you like having any sort of conversation with your dinner partner, this just doesn't work. I couldn't believe how loud it was in there because of the bar section. Personally, I do not enjoy eating my meals amongst that kind of level of noise, not to mention the cursing. Just wasn't pleasant at all. Well was the food at least worth it? Not at all. We were served dry basic Chinese buffet white rice with vegetables instead of Spanish rice. Never seen that before at a Mexican restaurant. My husband did say that the beans were good, but overall our entrees were very small portions (HUGE portions of that dry rice though) and just not good. I couldn't recommend this restaurant in good faith to my readers or to anyone else. Some people clearly like it judging by the reviews but there are also enough reviews here talking about the poor level of service that management needs to do something clearly. Normally my protocol is to give places at least 2 tries and usually 3 before I review them but the experience here was just so bad I do not even want to attempt it again. Life is too short...
Read moreI've always loved the food that this restaurant since the day it opened. Meet a close friend went to eat there just to get out the food was fantastic we started off with a shrimp nacho platter my friend got the snapper( she said it was overcooked and it looked it it looked very dry), I had the burrito Macho with beef it was absolutely fantastic. The music in the restaurant seemed a little loud not overbearing just a little too loud.
The only complaint I really had and it really ruined the evening for me was when the lady started singing it was so loud and obtrusive I couldn't even hear my friend across the table trying to talk to me I became furiated and couldn't wait to leave. The more I heard the music the more irritated me because it completely ruined the fun time we were having I wasn't able to talk even have a conversation I couldn't hear the waitress when she was asking me questions
I think the next time I go I will call ahead and find out when the band is not playing and schedule my dinner or lunch for then because of the band I don't think I would go back of risk of having another meal ruined, this may sound critical but in a restaurant that's almost already very too loud to have a singer come on and blast music and sing at the top of her lungs with the amplifier already turned up as high as it can go quite frankly it was just annoying it's not like she was playing outside she was playing inside the restaurant
I would highly recommend this place the food is fantastic Top Notch and top shelf the Ambiance the restaurant is really nice has a beautiful Southwestern Flair but like I said the lady that was singing that night the mariachi band completely ruin the experience and I couldn't wait to leave I'm just thankful our meal was over and I was just waiting...
