Calling customer stupid? Well, the food was mediocre at best, with the only fresh item being the eggs. Everything else seemed to be pre-packaged food, likely sourced from Costco, that was simply heated and served. The service, unfortunately, made the experience worse. One of the servers, a young man, was professional and respectful, but the other server, who claimed his name was Mike (though I have my doubts) was incredibly rude and disrespectful. We were a party of four, and Mike took our order with an attitude right off the bat. Our drink, 2 americanos, they didn't taste right, so I politely returned them to the counter and asked if he had actually put double espresso in them. He immediately responded with an eye-roll and a dismissive attitude, insisting he did. I requested an additional shot of espresso, offering to pay extra, and while he made it for me, his body language was full of contempt. While waiting for the espresso, I noticed they were using the wrong roast and grind for espresso, which likely explained why the americano tasted off. Normally, I would’ve mentioned this, but given the server's attitude, I decided not to engage. What followed, however, was even worse. One of my family member happened to be by the counter and overheard him insulting me to the other server, calling me stupid for asking if he had put espresso in the drink. We were shocked. Of course, We confronted him, and at first, he denied it, but later came over to apologize, claiming he was referring to an earlier issue, not to me specifically. This attempt to downplay the situation didn’t sit well, and I couldn’t believe he thought it was acceptable to insult any customer, regardless of who it was. Ultimately, Mike did apologize, but it felt insincere, and I remain skeptical of his explanation. The other server was much more apologetic and kind, and he seemed genuinely embarrassed by his...
Read moreCame here based on reviews, which now, it seems as though many may be unreliable/fake. Maybe management has changed. Something must have. Atmosphere is non-existent with no decor and very basic tables with chairs and no decor. Not a big deal. Menu seemed nicely varied, but portions were disappointing at best. We left hungry after ordering french toast and a breakfast sandwich. Definitely order extras! We were told our order would take 30-35 minutes. After 50 minutes, I asked an employee to check. He went to the back and never returned. After another 15 minutes, a female employee with food all over her white shirt (who had previously been eating behind the counter) began walking around asking people something unintelligible, she eventually asked me and I said "excuse me?" as I still couldn't understand her, she rolled her eyes and went back to the kitchen without another word. A moment later, she returned with half of our order and said, with attitude, "It was yours.", forcefully dropping a plate. I finally received my french toast (2 slices) with one prepackaged syrup and no butter. Neither plate had any garnish of any kind. An orange slice, condiments, or even parsley would have been a welcome addition. Most chefs/cooks would be embarrassed to let a plate like that leave their kitchen. Food quality was decent, and prices seemed average, but after seeing our scarce plates, they were definitely above average. Unfortunately, as this is counter service, you are expected to tip up front. This was not earned in any way. Sad to write this review, but sometimes you feel strongly about egregiously poor service, and this is definitely...
Read moreWhat a rare and delicious find!! We are visiting from across the state and this little cafe was just around the corner from where we're staying. The funny thing is, it was almost 4pm and I had just been saying how much I wished there was a cafe style breakfast place that was open all day or at least much later in the day, something that wasn't a standard breakfast chain like all the rest. Not only did this place perfectly fit the bill, but the food was above and beyond all of my expectations. Honestly, this might have been my favorite dining experience of all time. They have a divine menu and they know how to cook and use QUALITY ingredients. The staff were super friendly, people were laughing in the kitchen, everyone had such great energy, and you know you're in for some great food that's made with love and care. If you're local, make this one of your go-to spots. If you're visiting, don't miss out on some of the best food you'll ever try. As a foodie, I'm SO excited to have found this slice of heaven. I'll be sure to come back every time I'm in town.
I ordered the gourmet avocado toast which had the most delicious sun-dried tomatoes I've ever tried in my life. I also ordered the avocado BLT to go so that I could grab a sandwich out of the fridge of our hotel and have something cool and refreshing later when I needed it. Let me tell you, that was the yummiest little sandwich and so perfect for when I needed it. I also had one of their hash browns which was perfectly balanced crispy and fluffy. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food so much. There wasn't as much talking as there was humming and smiling while we...
