Tropical Cabana Restaurant — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

Had to go to Orlando for my work and a friend took me to this wonderful Cabana. The Cabana Restaurant is a small out of the way place, let's be honest its in a pretty industrial area but don't let the cover of the book sway your expectations. This is completely authentic and completely delicious Cuban comfort food. My job lets me travel all over the world and Florida has become a real favorite place for me to visit because of all the culturally diverse food you can experience. The food in this very clean and well run place is truly worth the effort to get to it. I had a traditional plate of roasted pork, black beans, yellow(saffron) rice with plantains! It was really incredible. It was really hard for me to pick between the roasted chicken or the pork but I went with the pork. Wow it was so good. The Cuban bread was crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, served nice and warm. It is the perfect device for getting all the great juices that the roasted meat left behind. Oh and if you think you might get a little knappish after your meal just order a Caffe Cubano! Cuban espresso is like jet fuel and tastes great. It will rock your world and keep you awake for a week. Yummy! The place is where hard working folks go to eat. The prices should be set higher for the quality and quantity of food and service that you receive. But I think the owner is feeding his neighbors for what they can afford and that is my kind of person I want to do business with and have as a friend. Super low key place, easy to drive by and not know it was there due to location in an industrial area. Worth going out of your way. Smelled delicious from the second I stepped in. The young woman that helped me was super friendly and asked all the right questions without me having to ask for this or that. All the food looked fresh l, wish I could have sampled it all. It would take a few trips for sure. The value is definitely there. Extremely affordable for the quality and portion size. I wouldn’t be surprised if most people that worked nearby just eat here daily. I probably would. They have enough variety that I wouldn’t need to go anywhere else. Looking forward...

Woah, this place was delicious 🤤. I was in the area running an errand, I live no where near here but this place has me wishing I lived nearby. I placed my order on the telephone, the lady taking my order was so pleasant. Then I get to the location and it feels cozy, I felt like I was at my aunties kitchen about to serve me a plate. The prices are very reasonable, in fact I felt like I robbed them, I got so much food for $15. I ordered a large chicken noddle soup that lifted my spirits, the soup was so good for my soul.
