Actually had a terrible experience the first time eating in the restaurant. On a busy Saturday afternoon at 1:30, we waited about 10 min to be seated. Waitress asked our drink order and messed it up (not a big deal). We placed our order for a burger, plain with pickles, cheese and thousand island dressing ONLY (for my wife), along with a chef salad for myself. Waited almost 25 min, in the meantime, we watched the table next to us not receive their drinks until after they had finished their salads (and only after flagging down and reminding the waitress). Finally the burger arrived, with mayo & mustard spread on the bun, lettuce, tomatoes and onion piled on the plate, and missing her side of potato salad. The waitress tells me my chef salad will be right out. Wife tastes her burger (after scraping all the mustard & mayo off), and it was cooked with absolutely NO seasoning (not even salt & pepper)... Just a frozen patty thrown on the grill). Close to 10 minutes later, I finally get my chef salad, but no dressing. We have to wait another couple of minutes to flag down the waitress AGAIN to ask for my dressing and wife's potato salad. Those arrive about 4 minutes later, and potato salad is straight out of a carton... Nothing special at all. The chef salad was decent, but my wife got to stare at me eating because her food was awful (she had 2 bites). I realize that they were busy (they're ALWAYS busy), and that people sometimes make mistakes... But this experience was WAY...
Read moreI arrived at ferrareses 25 minutes before they closed, the place was packed and there was a few people in line ordering and picking up. So I waited in line for about 10 minutes. I didn’t mind it, because it was my first time, so it gave me a chance to look over the menu. When it became my turn to order I told the lady at the register what I wanted (1 sandwich) she stopped me before I finished talking and said “oh are you ordering?” I said “yes, it’s my first time here.” She then proceeded to tell me that they stopped taking orders 10 minutes ago. Even though I just saw her take someone else’s order a couple minutes prior and While they are still making sandwiches right in front of me. She didn’t offer an apology for the misunderstanding or lack of sign that states they stop taking orders 25 minutes before they close. Nor did she offer to tell me there business hours and days. She just said “yeah, we stop taking orders.” Then proceeded to turn around and keep working. So I left and with a sour taste in my mouth about the experience. It’s unfortunate because I’ve always heard high praise about this place but don’t think I’ll be...
Read moreIt is a beautiful rustic Americana vibe sandwich place. It's very popular as we went on a Tuesday afternoon. There was a wait time, once we sat down and were greeted by the waiter, she was really friendly and when asked, she gave us advice on what was popular. I got the roast beef with cheese and mushrooms. It was divine and very filling because I only finished half. The wait time from order to plate was long as well. I was with friends that I had not seen for a while so it was not a big deal but man, it was a long wait for our food to arrive. The sides are little, which I was surprised. I did order the pistachio "salad," but I wasn't pleased with it because it was more like a mousse dessert, so I couldn't enjoy it with my sandwich. Overall, it is a good spot to explore some good homemade sandwiches. Rec: order the potatoes or...
