Ryderz Restaurant and Lounge — Restaurant in Oakdale

Superb Burger top notch in taste juices and size. As I stared out the green curtains draped from above inside the motel 6 I pondered to myself is it going to be good? Will I get treated with respect will I feel accepted what should I order. I swiftly came to my conclusions as I entered the doors. A strong odor of fresh cut onions illuminated my nostrils. I unaware of where to sit and or be seated sat down eagerly to be assisted. I then realized I could of seated myself as posted for the public to read. I then stood up and say at a empty table in-between two other customers to see the vibes. And was to my surprised on the smiles and niceness shown towards me both service from host and vibes from customers were a match made in heaven. As I ordered a bacon burger I saw they too had soups which are specialties of the day. And I knowing the homeless people that surround the area decided to go ahead and buy someone something warm. Both the meal for me(burger which comes with fries) and a specialty of the restaurant subtotal was under 20$. Very reasonable I thought. As the meal came. My assumptions grew. Im very satisfied with overall of this establishment. Takeout was the best idea I had all night for when I got back to the room I devoured it This hands down was one of the best burgers I've have ever eaten in the 209. Thank you Ryderz I shall be back. This was our first time eating at Ryder's. I would love to go back, soon♥️ The young lady who greeted us was nice and we were able to choose where we wanted to sit. Our waitress was very lovely, cheerful and friendly👩🏼 Our drink order was taken and drinks arrived quickly. Our order was taken and the waitress had no problems answering questions about the food. Due to a medical diet, some things needed to be left off 🚫 or altered which was not an issue. Our coffee ☕ and water 💦 glasses were never empty. The place was very clean and had a fun, classic, small town atmosphere. There is a cowboy 🤠 and rodeo 🐎 decorating theme. The music 🎵 playing was classic country, went great with the decor and was completely wonderful, but not loud as to bother anyone or keep you from being able to hear your conversation. My food was wonderful!!! 💯 One of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had 👍🏻 the onion rings were delicious, steak was cooked just right and the salad was piled high and amazing 🤩 There was one thing that wasn't good, the baked potato 🥔 It didn't taste good. I don't know if maybe it was old, if it had sat too long after cooking or what. After telling the waitress we were offered another baked potato 🥔 or our choice of another side. We chose mashed potatoes and gravy, which was good. This is now my favorite eating...

Ordered the 1/2 Tuna Melt Sandwich & Tomato Basil Soup.

Tuna was NOT hot. 2.Missing the Cheese. 3.Barely Toasted Bread Tuna was SUPER WATERY. It's almost like it was yesterday's Tuna mix and they're re-using it. It made the barely Toasted bread so super soggy I couldn't pick it up!

You know how when you have left over Tuna Salad and you save it in a tupperware for the next day? It collects water at the bottom....THAT'S how watery it was! I sent it back and the kind waitress had the kitchen make another one.

I took this time to try the soup. Dried Basil ( big nope). It had a "curdled" look to it. It looked like it was thickened with instant potatoes, it had THAT consistency! Just plain YUCK! I was embarrassed enough sending the Sandwich back, I was not going to send this back too. So I left the bowl 3/4 full. 😡

Oh look! Here's my re-made 1/2 Tuna Melt Sammy. Bread was grilled & Toasted ( okay good). Melted what looks like Mozzarella cheese(?).....but the Tuna was STILL watery! No salt nor pepper? Utterly tasteless! Just....watery fish!

I seriously am now feeling nausea after the few bites of the Sandwich! This place has gone downhill since I was last here in 2015.

I know cooks come & go in any Restaurant. I get that. But please Ryderz.......hire someone who CAN cook?
