Scotty's Donuts — Restaurant in Oakdale

We have been a very happy customer for many years.....as of today sadly due to their actions NO MORE! This is Sunday 3/22/20. TAKEOUT ONLY Governor mandate in place for 4 days now. I see that they are open as i pass with errand (of a currently closed small business) business banking done. I choose to support our favorite donut shop and pick up an apple fritter for my hubby! Parking lot pretty empty, counter empty. As I enter 2 men sitting at a table drinking coffee and eating donuts at a table? I inqiure in a polite tone to the 2 men, "Hey guy''s what you 2 do'in sitting here?" The owners and 2 men just laugh??? You’re classic homegrown donut shop! Very friendly and attentive staff. Card and cash accepted. Upon entry staff is all smiling and working away. Good selection of your classic variety of donuts is decent coffee all at extremely affordable prices! They even have French curlers(one of my favorites!). Plenty of fixed mini dinning tables and chairs and plenty of parking outside. Appears it’s a local favorite as the staff addressed customers at a friendly and intimate interaction, so you know it’s gotta be good. Passing through from Yosemite I highly recommend as a quick and easy stop before continuing...

Very disappointing. Nothing but donuts and one type of bagel. No toaster for the bagel nor butter/margarine. No soy milk for coffee. No fresh fancy coffee; just a Cappuccino machine.

I new in the area and had not noticed this place before asked if new. Told no, has been there for years. Staff did not bother to mention that their sign is temporary, and probably just placed there.
