Poor customer service. Poor Quality of food. Found a piece of plastic (a glove?) inside my burrito. I ate most of the burrito and am really concerned about what I didn't see and consumed.
TJ Oakdale uses alot of preservatives and fillers, food is not fresh.
Visit #1 - It was ridiculous that staff could not make my order correctly. I spent over half an hour trying to get a plain breakfast burrito with egg and bacon. I had to return my order 3 times - first they added sausage and this greasy sauce was dumped on it. I tried to explain that I just want a plain tortilla shell with egg and bacon and they kept putting extra stuff on it! During the next redo staff dumped so much red, runny hot sauce on my burrito looked that it looked like Chef Boyardee.
I finally asked for a refund. There was no apologies. The cashier also did other things and made me wait extra time to get my money back. I left with no food, and staff did not care.
Visit 2 - I went back to TJ Oakdale to give them another try. I ordered a Meat and Potato Breakfast Burrito. I found a piece of plastic or maybe a piece of a latex glove inside my food. The plastic is clear and was stuck to the cheese. The plastic had turned yellow because of the cheese, scary because it was...
Read moreTaco John's Oakdale has not only the best midwest taste and style that Taco John's is famous for, and potato Olés with nacho cheese of course! We had a great time in drive thru. The staff eas funny and and accommodating with my many special requests. The only tiny, tiny problem is you can't buy their amazing merch shirts, make them available for sale!! Please. All of our hard shell tacos 🌮 were crispy, the street taco trio spicy and served with limes and of course the cheese and Olès were steaming hot! Eating in your vehicle watching the lake is the best seating at your next visit to Taco John's. Don't wait until you get home, your tacos will be soggy. Taco law #2- don't travel

It starts the moment you turn into the property. The parking lot and drive through are so full of pot holes that I dropped a muffler on my new car just going through. They also couldn't understand me giving the order. Guessing the intercom is in the same sad state as the lot so probably not the fault of the worker. They gave me the wrong burrito even though they did get that correct on the order and receipt. The potato oley's were severely over done to the point that nobody even wanted to eat them and we all love them. All the food was cold and the fish tacos were not even cooked all the way through to the point they seamed raw in the middle or barely unfrozen. I had to spit out the bite I took and throw them away. Until I see them put in the investment to at least repair the lot and drive though, I will not even be thinking of going back.
I love taco john's and really hope they can turn...
