Start off by saying the place was empty , there were about four servers and we only were approached a handful of times. Food took more than 30 min to come out and all we ordered was a torta , fajitas and huarache. Not once did they offer or approach us in that time to refill the chips or salsa. Our drinks were never refilled. When our food came we asked for some salsa. After a few min the server was still standing talking to the other servers. So I got up to get it myself which I didn’t mind. But then as I approach the counter the little group of servers left and she proceeded to start scooping the salsa we had asked for. Tortas used to be good here, now it’s just bread with small chunks of meat and mayonnaise , Nothing more . You can tell they just smeared some avocado to make it look like there were some in there but no chunks were. The whole meal contained less than 2 slices of tomatoes. Fajitas were too salty and mostly pieces of fat. Used to love this place .. not sure what happened. Still after all that , spent 75$ on nothing. Not worth your time...

Best tacos on that Andrews Ave strip. I’ve been to all of the rest, and these are legit, Mexican street tacos. The food and atmosphere is very authentic. We tried the lengua, tripe, carnitas, pastor, asada and campeche tacos. All of them fantastic. The guac was fresh and made to order. I asked for some extra kick to my salsa, and she brought out a delicious salsa Roja with a great level of spice and flavor. We’ve been trying to go here for a while and managed to be able to get in there for some time and ended up at Tacos El Papi and Quates across the street instead. Chonitas is the best, and the real deal. New go to spot for authentic tacos and Mexican food. I would know, I’m the south Florida taco...

I came in with my husband and ordered Pozole and 3 gorditas asada plain. I even specified I didn’t want any beans or veggies-nothing just the shell and steak. After waiting 5-10minutes the waitress comes back and tells me they don’t have pozole, which is fine, I just ordered something else. 45 minutes later our food finally arrived. The gorditas have all the extra ingredients in them. I bring this up to our waitress and she just says I know I told them. I asked her bring back some plain. All they did was scrape off some of the ingredients and brought back some sloppy food. For $40 I expected to get what I paid for never coming...

Finally a true Mexican restaurant!!! Quesadillas hutlacoche, sucuash blossoms are TDF. Tamales for breakfast made every day, tlacoyos, sopes, enchiladas, enmoladas... All is great. Service is lovely. Since they make things from scratch you need to wait a little bit. Trust me, I prefer that instead of eating the same processed food that you usually get in basically all type of restaurants. It's my new regular spot and I have to travel 35/40 minutes to get there with no traffic. It's worth the drive. Que viva Oaxaca! 😁 PS.: they bring the check in the cutest mini hand made bag.

Wonderful Mexican food. Brought my son here after visiting the science museum on one of our few unsupervised days together. I enjoyed this lovely burrito that is pictured and my son enjoyed some warm tamales. Pamela doesn’t usually let Johnathan have Mexican food as she proclaims it is against what the dark lord wishes, but I have a soft spot for an authentic meal. This restaurant serves some of the best Mexican food in town. Highly recommend.
