Read moreFood is just ok but the prices are extremely high. 3.99 per taco is ridiculously too much. It's not even Miami Beach, or gourmet, why so expensive?
Service was VERY SLOW. The food came out in parts. My wife's food came out first after like 15 minutes, then me and my son were waiting another 10 minutes for our food and only his came out, then 10 min later mine finally arrived. The last thing that arrived was the first thing that was ordered. Slow slow slow service!
Then after getting a $74 check for 8 tacos, 1 quesadilla and a flauta plate, the girl working there proceeds to tell me I cannot have my "pet" in the restaurant. I tell her it's a service dog and I showed her my card (which I don't have to do) and she argued telling me that the city told them I can't have my dog inside when it's busy. WRONG! It's a service dog and he goes anywhere I need to go as a human within, reason. She told me they can set me up outside in the 90 degree weather in the smelly parking area. No thanks and no, my service dog can be inside. He was on the floor and under my seat. He wasn't barking or making a commotion. Why? Because he is trained to be in these environments.
THIS RESTAURANT DISCRIMINATES AGAINST MILITARY VETERANS WITH SERVICE DOGS!
Save your money, go to Tacos el Machine Gon or go to Homestead. The food here is way too MID to be paying so much and dealing with slow service and discriminatory practices against...
Read moreMy bf and I went to Tacos el papi at the end of 2022. He is Mexican and from Los Angeles, so he’s had some of the best. He loved tacos el papi’s food. We had a quesadilla de asada, tacos Al pastor, and some horchata and Jamaica. It was all delicious. The tortilla on the quesadilla was very soft and fresh. The meats were flavorful and they loaded the tacos up. We took some conchas home which were also very soft and fresh. We decided to go back a week or two later and he got a torta which was enormous and very good. However, our dinner was interrupted by a roach crawling on the wall that our table was against. He had to kill the roach, which led me to look up their recent health inspection reports. Come to find out, this isn’t new for the restaurant. They were shut down in the past for a roach issue. Then I read a past review about someone finding a roach in their drink and that threw me all the way off lol. It’s unfortunate because their food really is good, but roaches are a big no for me. Maybe I’ll go back if some consistently positive health inspection ratings come out. Til then, I hope they can figure out...
