Crumble & Whisk — Restaurant in Oakland

Crumble & Whisk has DELICIOUS and AMAZING cheesecakes!!! ORDER FROM THEM NOW! They also have amazing customer service. I live in Florida and my best friend lives in Oakland, California. Every year I buy him a cheesecake for his birthday since we've known each other. The owner/chef Charles Farrier was amazing to work with and super accomodating! He made the ordering process so easy for me and was great communicating with. I was able to order and get the Cheesecake delivered to my friend as a surprise for his Birthday. The delivery was also super fast under 30 minutes. I called several places in Oakland, California and the surrounding area trying to get him a cheesecake for his birthday and Charles was the only one willing to make it happen. My best friend was so surprised by it. My friend was so surprised by how big thick and heavy the cheesecake was. He said it was one of the most creamiest, flavorful, thick but buttery and light at the same time, and mouth watering cheesecake he has ever tasted before. And I have bought him a cheesecake for years from many different places. I can't wait to go visit him in California to try one of Charles cheesecakes. I will be ordering him cheesecake from Charles and Crumble & Whisk exclusively moving forward!

You have honestly NEVER had anything SO FANTASTIC in your life. Charles is a true artist. His cheesecakes are so incredible, so flavoursome, such perfect crumble base.... truly an INSANELY awesome cheesecake. My wife got me three of the small ones before (and I ate them all in one day... I went nuts!), and this time I got a 7" Marble Cheesecake.

I look forward to the day that Charles has his amazing work in more locations around the city and more convenient to pickup, because I would eat this as often as humanly possible. I home restaurants and other locations pick up his cheesecakes and start to carry them as I am just over the moon. It's awesome he's at the Ferry Building on Tuesdays now -- I hope at some point he's able to get a Saturday spot, as I can only imagine how crazy the many Saturday Farmer's Market people will go for this incredible baking mastery.

Congrats to Charles on his incredible work, and I must say, it took me a whole 5 days this time to eat the entire 7" cake!! Not bad. I should probably pace myself, but with something that tastes as sweet and as wonderful as life itself, it's hard to be anything other than totally overwhelmingly...

I am lactose-intolerant, so I ordered the vegan New York-style cheesecake for a holiday party and it was INCREDIBLE. First of all, it was probably one of the best cheesecakes I've had, period. It was rich and wonderfully flavorful. The crust was perfect. Secondly, it was creamy but still firm. It practically melted in your mouth. Thirdly, the presentation was beautiful, absolutely gorgeous. I had been seeing them at the Lake Merritt Farmer's Market every Saturday morning, but I often got there after they sold their dairy free items, but I was able to place an order for a cheesecake about 4 days in advance and picked it up from their kitchen the day before the party. It was ready when they said it would be, no issues at all.

Absolute perfection, well worth the price for the quality and quantity. I don't think I'm going to bother spending time & money trying to get the right dairy-free recipe for dairy-based baked goods when a good alternative exists.
