Honestly, I’m a tough critic and sometimes I only look at the negatives - but it was truly hard to find amiss at this Thai restaurant. I ordered the drunken noodles with medium spice and I would it was perfect. I also had the wings which to be honest, were quite expensive given the proportions. I’ve had similar dishes around the area for about $8-$10. That being said they were very good and I would recommend them.
Food came out quick. Service was fast. My server (man with the hat) was a little awkward. I think he is the owner of the place. He was awkward in the sense that he tried to push their new colorful drinks as I was going to order a drink, then when I placed my order he just walked away and didn’t say thank you. He also came back to ask me a question. He did the same with another woman.
Anyway, that server wasn’t a big deal.
If I had to be picky, and I think I will given that this place has a 5 star rating and a perfect 5 on Google means a lot - the food at the end day was very ordinary. It was good don’t get me wrong, but what are we doing different with the food that any other Thai place isn’t doing? There’s hundreds of Thai restaurants in the area and my question is - what does this one offer that others don’t?
The bathroom was an eyesore. I think that needs remodeling, namely the floor could use some new tiles.
Earlier I mentioned that the wings were pricy for their portions - I’d say their canned sodas were pretty ridiculously priced. $4 for a soda is insane when you can get 36 for $16-$19 from say something like a Sam’s Club or Costco. I also think their Thai iced tea was not very strong. I used to make Thai iced tea at home and spend weeks trying to perfect it and their Thai iced tea has way too much condensed/evaporated milk and not enough tea - it was damn near watery. So I wouldn’t recommend getting it, maybe next time I’ll try those drinks they are trying to push.
If I were them I would increase the price of the Thai iced tea because it’s a specialty drink to $6, which plenty of people will pay. And I lower the price of canned sodas to $3. $4 is an insane price. I’d use more tea to make the taste stronger.
Overall, good place. Your mind won’t be blown here, you’re not going to experience anything you haven’t already, but it’s a solid...
Read moreUpdate: I received a very gracious and generous response to my review and concerns about the spice levels as well as a heartfelt invitation to return, so we will try again another time. Original Review: We ordered takeout from Delicious Thai Kitchen for the first time last night. When I placed the order online, I specifically selected "no spice" for all the dishes, which was confirmed on the receipt. Unfortunately, the main dishes were very spicy (not the crispy tofu appetizer). We ate it because we were super hungry, but it was too spicy so we did not enjoy it as much as we had hoped for. The quality of the food was very good (hence the 4 stars), but we probably will not go there again, which is too bad because we like to support local...
Read moreI love this cute place! It’s tucked away so easy to miss but I am so glad we found it. We were just looking for a spot with outdoor seating but the food was SO good!! I ordered the Pad Thai with beef and my friend had the pumpkin curry with chicken. Presentation was also beautiful. Service was fast and very friendly. Both the server and chef came out to see how we liked the food. I cleaned my plate so needless to say we will be back again! Only thing I would recommend to owners is to get a heat lamp as it got a little cold....
