Don Patron Oakland — Restaurant in Oakland

The best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in a long time! As a vegetarian family visiting Deep Creek Lake, we found this restaurant to be an excellent get-away from the pizza-centric restaurants across the area, and for good reason! The food itself was excellent. The vegetable fajita and bean nachos were enough for three people, and the fajita comes along with beans, guacamole, rice, and sour cream! Great portion sizes and the fajita itself had bursting flavors! Location. The restaurant wasn’t located too far from town! Service. Our server was really kind, and the server and manager both checked in to see how we were doing! Dessert. We had the flan after the server’s recommendation and it was excellent, like he said! The flan portion was just perfect for the three of us and the flavor was equally as great!

10/10, would recommend for all vegetarians (and probably everyone too) in the area! Would go again regularly and would post 6/5 stars...

Finally! So very tired of the sub-par, over-rated food around DCL. Same tired menus, watered down drinks, lousy service, from the same few owners with no vision, just looking to scalp the tourist crowd. Quick to forget about the locals. Save your money.

But, now we have this GREAT place in Oakland just a few minutes from the lake scene. Thankful for the excellent food, the extensive menu, the menu creativity, the chips and awesome salsa, the friendly and engaging service and did I mention the food....the best Mexican you will find.

I know the place looks like a fast-food joint but think again! It is a very nice sit-down place with pleasant décor, very clean and comfortable. I recommend them without reservation and would hope you would join our family in supporting this wonderful, relatively new, locally-owned...

Don Patron is hands down one of my go-to spots; every visit feels like coming home. I always order the ACP because it’s just that good, comfort food perfection with tender chicken, flavorful rice, and that creamy, cheesy goodness I can’t get enough of. I’ve probably had it a hundred times and it hits every single time.

What really makes Don Patron special, though, is the people. The familiar faces, the friendly greetings, the way they remember you; it’s the kind of place where you feel like more than just a customer. The staff is always welcoming and kind, and their service is quick, consistent, and genuinely warm.
