Taco Bell — Restaurant in Oakland

Obviously, me giving 5 stars for this taco bell is not me saying it is a 5 star restaurant. It is a taco bell. But it it is a great one! One of the first times I came here, I went through the drive through. I mentioned to my husband that I wished we could afford child care because I wanted to go to work here, bad haha! I've always waited tables when I can. Nights and weekends, so I can have time out of the house and away from the kids. The vibe at this taco bell had me trying to figure out how I could get hired on there lmao. They have never made a mistake on any of our orders. The food is consistently good. When you hear employees interacting, they are laughing and bonding. Tonight, I didn't order a soda like I usually do. My husband asked about it, assuming I had ordered one. And they sent him home with a Pepsi, probably thinking I had meant to order one, per usual, and didnt want me to be disappointed. This store is incredible! So obviously kind to one another and considerate of all their customers. I have ordered here more times than I could possibly count and have never been disappointed. They salt the chips very heavily but that is the only somewhat negative critique I could ever come up with about this store. So underrated. You want quality, consistency, and good service? 7pm on a Friday evening drove 25 minutes to this Taco Bell to get food and come back home to eat. When in the DT I was met with rudeness and lack of care for customer service or food service. I asked to have the taco party pack but add sour cream to it. $20 for the taco party pack but with the added sour cream it came out to $32…. Yes… for sour cream added. Drove all the way back home to find that not only was there zero sour cream or even a thought of it, but the amount of ingredients in any of the tacos is severely lacking and the condition of all of the tacos in the pack is terrible and falling apart. Almost as if the whole box was dropped. Had 3 young girls working the window, one to take the order, one playing on her phone paying little to no attention to the drinks she was supposed to be making, and one handling the food but also on her phone. This is the 5th time I have dealt with the same all female staff and honestly I don’t want to be that guy but they’re absolutely useless when it comes to customer service. Rude, massive attitudes, poor food handling, and terrible customer service. I know they all know how to answer a phone but can’t stop playing with them long enough to answer the store phone when I called 4 times to get a refund. Fire these absolutely useless employees and get new help just make sure they don’t have a phone...

I’m not normally one to complain but we went to this place a bit late, and they seemed completely irritated to have us there. I sent in my order on mobile to hopefully help things go quicker, and after arriving about 15 minutes after sending in my order, we still had to sit and wait in the drive through for another good 10 minutes. I also have a lot of food allergies so I have to order very specific things, and when they finally gave me my order it was loaded up with the things I asked them to remove, and didn’t have any of the things I added on it either. I’m not one to send food back, but I literally could not eat what they gave me because of my allergies. The person at the window visibly rolled his eyes when we told him it’s not what we ordered before going back to the kitchen. They thankfully gave me a replacement without my allergens on it, but it STILL didn’t have any of the things I asked them to add on. So we wasted about a half hour and spent $30 just to get something I didn’t order. They still charged me for the additions despite them not being on my food. It was incredibly irritating and we had placed to be so we did not have time to deal with taking our food in a second time. Rude service and make sure they actually give you what you order.
