El Malecon — Restaurant in Oakland

Very comfortable sitting area outside. The service was good but the food was definitely not ok. We got served some seafood that was not ok to be served. The cooked shrimp were definitely not cook that same day or maybe cooked with bad shrimp. Callo de acha was bad. Pretty much all the mariscos were not ok to be served. After spitting out several bites and trying my hardest to just eat it either way, I had to let them know that the seafood they served was bad. They were nice about it except Panchito in the kitchen seemed upset. We felt very bad letting them know but Panchito should’ve been the one feeling bad serving seat that had gone bad. Some of the best seafood in Oakland period, if you like "Mariscos" then you'll absolutely love this place. Some of the freshest tasting seafood I've ever had, you gotta try their campechana and the marlin tacos are always good. They usually have karaoke on Sundays and draws in a pretty big crowd. Some menu items are a bit pricey but totally worth it. The margaritas are so unique, especially the mango one taste like candy. There have been many restaurants come and go at this exact location, but these guys finally got it right and are sure to stay for a long time to come so check them out if you're ever in...

If i could give this place a 0 i would,i had a taste for seafood and i ordered along with my drinks since i knew what i wanted,my son and i waited 45 minutes our food we were trying to. Be patient since they were very crowded after i seen the table across from us been served before us and they had got there about 25 minutes after me i decided to leave i told the waitress i will pay for my beer she said she was going to charge me 10 even because she didnt have change.oviously this restaurant is not prepared for the crowd they get.i was very dissapointed and still hungry...
