Cesar Chavez Park — Attraction in Oakland

The place is clean for the most part. They have basketball courts, 2 seperate playgrounds, some benches near the street side entrance for people to sit and eat or relax, a terf field for soccer or what ever games you can play in a decently large field, and then they also have a little area for people to workout. If your looking to work out, you can do that any time during the day. If your looking to take your kids out to a play ground, anytime from noon to sunset is nice. There is however a spot on the big kids playground that has a hole that seems to only be getting bigger. Its fairly deep, maybe around a foot and a half. I grew up as a kid playing in this park I seen it evolve numurus times threwout the 30 years of staying in the diamond district..I personally help clean up the litter that the homeless leave. The only problem is trash....I'm just happy to see kids playing in the park safely..back then the park was highly unsafe due to gang violence... It realy is a good place to have bbq's in the sumner time the restrooms are maintained on a daily basis the park is maintained by the parks and recreations monthly. They have a soccer field with fake turf a play structure,basketball court a stage where a band or d.j. can entertain. I would like to see more tables and BBq pits put up and more garbadge cans and recycle bins installed more water fountains as well as outlets on the long concreate structure that...
