There's a snappy jingle from my childhood for Campbell's soup: mmmmm mmmm good, mmmmm good. Campbell's soup is mmmm good!

Take a casual spin down Telegraph some fine morning and drop by Forma Bakery. (preferably before the lines start)

You will be amazed at the selection of pastries simply displayed calling out your name.

For my first trip I tried a Chocolate and Ham and Cheese croissant. And a cappuccino. Both croissants were flakey, buttery crusty on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside. The cappuccino - the perfect accompaniment.

My take? It was a righteous experience! The Chocolate croissant was the best I've had. And the Ham and Cheese croissant rivaled the Acme Bakery Ham and Cheese Turnover.

Matt says if you find yourself near Temescal some morning, drop by and have a croissant or two.

They are mmmmm...

When I reached the register, I was not sure where my order went and the cashier was just staring at me. When I asked about paying, the cashier explained that my order was put in with my friend's order, who was ahead of me in line, because I hadn't paid. What? Okay fine, I'll just Venmo my friend, but...

My friend had asked about nuts in their vegan croissants due to a nut allergy. We were trying to sort things out later and we couldn't tell which of the croissants were the vegan croissants my friend had ordered and which was my non vegan one.

The food is just okay. I like the blue corn loaf. The chocolate croissant is disappointing, with just two slim sticks of firm chocolate lost in the middle. I would go again if I'm ever nearby because there wasn't much of a wait, but I wouldn't go out of my way to...

I really want to love Forma Bakery and I've tried many things to get a well rounded assessment, but unfortunately it falls flat for me. The bread was the most impressive, but unfortunately the pastries, while they all sound good, all seem to lack filling. The exception would be the strawberry flan concoction, but the others barely have any filling no matter the format/style. There is a lot of so so croissant to bite through to reach any filling and it will sadly be only a few bites of filling (like my ham & cheese croissant today) before back to eating pastry again. It's fine but not exceptional like Tartine or Arsicault croissants. The flavor combos are all intriguing and I like the take on pastry, I just wish the...

Delicious new bakery with Banker's Hours. Get there early before your favorite is sold out or, just try something new? New business undergoing growing pains while still providing delicious pasteries! As good as the pasteries are, they'll be able to get a second POS and a cash drawer to help the line of people move through a little faster? (The next time there, a sign was up at the counter "NO CASH"). Minimal outdoor seating. Three dinky round tables with well used metal folding chairs for quick turnover! This isn't a *bucks (thank goodness!)

Life changing, I've never ever had such expertly crafted plant-based pastries until now (I've spent a long time searching and sampling) and I'm soooo lucky to live nearby. I've tried the vanilla and chocolate conchas, pistachio chocolate croissant, and blackberry Danish, all of them vegan and so delicious I went back twice in one week. The staff is very nice, efficient, the drip coffee under $4, and seems like a great place to take friends or family.
