Nunu's Cafe — Restaurant in Oakland

I adore this place. I am giving 5 stars, although it IS worth noting:

Their coffee is not very good. I suppose palatable enough for the general public; that's okay. As much as i want to go to them for both breakfast AND coffee, I usually go somewhere else for the latter. Some of the friends I've brought with me are also of the same opinion.

That said, it's easy to overlook! I usually grab a tea there now, anyway

Everything I've ever eaten here has been delicious. The BLTCA is my absolute favorite. The bread is toasted just right, the ingredients all taste fresh, and somehow they make the bacon perfectly every single time. 10/10. It's on my personal list for top 3 BLT sammiches I've ever had. En serio.

My other favorite thing (whether they make in house or order- i don't know) is the ube cheese cake. It's not always in the display case but just ask for it. It's fantastic.

Went here for the first time this morning after a friend raved about the place. I ordered the turkey sausage breakfast sandwich. The service was friendly and everyone was really nice. The environment was clean and welcoming. They have free Wi-Fi. My sandwich was brought out within about 5 minutes. It was hot and fresh and everything was good. My only issue is that they make the egg in the microwave. I could tell from the texture and steaminess of it that it was microwaved, probably in a plastic container. I asked the employee if a microwave was used for any part of the cooking and he confirmed they cook the egg in the microwave. When I go to a cafe, I don't want my food microwaved. If I had known they would microwave, I would have asked if they can make my eggs on the grill instead of the microwave. I might try that next time and see if they will accommodate, because I avoid...

First time here! I was driving in the neighborhood looking for a quick breakfast spot with a friend and came across this cafe.

We weren't that hungry, but definitely wanted some carbs. The avo toast with an egg was the perfect combo of tasty and healthy, while my friend got a bagel with schmear.

Coffee was solid, mocha was to my preference for sweetness. Lil outdoor seating as well as some fun indoor spots.

The person working the counter was pleasant and efficient. Definitely a spot to hit up when I don't quite feel like making something at home, but I'm in the mood for a quick bite in the neighborhood.

Street parking is always pretty easy as well,...
