We were seated and asked if we wanted tea to which we said yes. My tea came lukewarm. Mom's tea was find.I ordered eggs benedict for $13.50. There aren't any sides like potatoes or fruit at all that come with it just the eggs benedict so I had to order my own side of home frie. The home fries were mediocre some of the cubes were a little on the undercooked side. The eggs benedict Hollandaise sauce look like something out of a jar while it tasted ok, aesthetically not pleasing. My mother had the short stack combo two pancakes, two pieces of bacon and I think she added the scrambled egg or may have come with it. The bacon was cooked to the point of leather and chard, the compote that came with the pancakes was more like blueberry jelly but overall she said it tasted okay. A decent price $12. I paid $45 for two two people to have breakfast a very mediocre breakfast. It was too expensive for what I actually received and I won't be going back. As I ate I thought this why I just cook. Mind you years ago I'd been there and it was delicious. Granted it was many years ago but it has gone downhill considerably in terms of what I had there. Maybe other meals are great but based on this experience I'll be going to Lynn and Lu's anytime I want a good breakfast that feels worth the money, parking hassles with great...

My significant other and I were looking forward to a nice breakfast. He was thrilled there was a vegan option but when the burrito arrived, we were flabbergasted by the size for $17. We thought, at that price, it was going to be some epic burrito, but it was barely larger than the frozen breakfast burritos you can buy at the grocery store for $3.50. Pictured is half of the barely filled, baby-sized burrito. I should have had him place it on his palm. This thing was the tiniest restaurant / cafe burrito I’ve seen in my life. It did come with a small side of potatoes (photos on their website show far more potatoes). They would have been better in the burrito, but they didn’t have the right size burrito wrap for it to be any larger.
On the plus side for those who drink coffee: if you order it, your cup will overfloweth as they are very on top of coffee refills. I’m not a coffee drinker so that doesn’t benefit me. Perhaps that’s what draws people in?
I’m glad that others in the area seem to enjoy this place. The portions are better for small eaters, but way overpriced for what you receive. We’re probably not...
Read moreRicotta Pancakes: Ok they were good, but I was expecting something thicker and fluffier by what the menu described. The rest of the place: Extremely average food at literally 2.5x what you expect to pay.
Pretty run of the mill diner with the most absurd prices for the most average food I've experienced yet in California. $18 for an Avocado BLT? $18 for 2 small pancakes with 2 eggs? Then a hidden $4 upcharge to add sausage? We expected way larger portions (or at least average size portions) for the prices they asked. The wait staff also slid extra charges for parts of the dish you would expect came with without us realizing they were extra. (Ie, "Do you fries with that?", " Ok, with sausage?")
$145 for 4 people for the most average breakfast, in the most average setting? I'm sorry but we could have gotten the exact same experience at Dennies for $15.
We left feeling sticker...
