I’m 24 years old. My id was issued 2019 when I was 19 years old so they gave me the “21 in 2021” issue comes with red bar under the dob and is also vertical instead of horizontal. This was issued by el Cerrito dmv. It’s the same if I’ve used since getting it for jobs, at the casino, all my important accounts and at every other bar I’ve been too. The bartender who worked July 5th told me it was fake as the coloring was off, he was very hostile about checking out ids and then kicking us out, as I know my ID is real as I’ve never had an issue with it before I asked if someone else could check the ID since he seemed to have a personal issue with my group. Another worker checked and he stood to the side telling them everything wrong with my id. yes I know my issue is old and needs to be replaced but none of my information is incorrect nor is my ID fake. Yes I look very young but none of that equates to the reasoning why it was denied as it is very obviously a real ID not even expired yet. After my friend was also denied as her ID being fake (she’s 26+) we came to the conclusions that it must be other reasons why we were denied entry despite being of age. My group was mainly made of women of color. Going through their social media I see there is very little (next to none) representation of people of color. I know now why we were denied. If you are black or a poc maybe head to somewhere more accepting and welcoming to us. This is the first and only time I’ve been denied due to a “fake ID”

P.S :: They could invest in scanners/actual ID checkers to avoid losing business like this again or maybe just try not being...

The good: Nice looking location. The DJ that night was on point with EDM House music. It was a very good crowd too. The bad: We ordered Moscow mules and what we were served didn't taste anything like it. Asked the bartender for some extra ginger beer and was told they were out of it. Explained we asked for Moscow mules. He said they were out for a while. They had sold out much earlier. He shrugged and went to do something else. So why didn't he tell this to us upfront before he made us drinks and charged us for the wrong damn thing? Otherwise this place is a 4 star with decent bartending and with good bartending it...

This place has super fun karaoke! Really enjoyed the one time I joined.

On a Saturday (today), I came to join the yoga class as it said there is one online every week. I got ready and drove over here to find out that a special event is taking place. It’s frustrating and disappointing to set out to go enjoy a community class for the first time to find out it’s not happening. My wish is that there was communication online about the event being cancelled, that way I could have spared myself the drive and the difficult process of finding parking near this place...
