Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Ocala

Experience at this place was horrible. We called the store because we were never given our wings and the “manager” who shouldn’t be manager got on the phone and yelled at us stating that we were lying and that he had video footage of someone handing out the wings to us which would’ve been 4 boxes. We said we only got 3 boxes and the box on top were the bread sticks and no wings were given. He then got even more mad and said that he was gonna block the number from calling the store and hung up in our faces in the middle of talking. We tried to call back to resolve the issue and he wouldn’t answer the phone since he knew we were calling which left us no choice but to go up to the store. The lady at the register had an attitude about us being there as well. The “manager” then came up and offered the wings but we had said we didn’t want them and we just wanted to see the “evidence” that he had on footage since he was claiming we were liars. As soon as I took my phone out and recorded him to show how rude he is he switched up his behavior and tried to act more civil and said we were the ones being rude when that is not true. As soon as he answered the phone he was very rude. He refused to help us and said “he wasn’t dealing with this” and walked away and left us there unattended. He tried to tell us to leave the store because he didn’t want to help us. He refused to show the footage. All we wanted to see was the footage since he was calling us liars. This is certainly not manager behavior. He probably thought I was some regular customer who didn’t know any better but little did he know I am a manager as well for a restaurant and these situations should never be handled in the way he handled them. Corporate will be called and I expect something to be done about this. My mom has ordered from this place for years and has never had a problem until now. Must be a newer manager but it seems like most of the workers their support this horrible behavior being that the register lady also had an attitude. If you order from this store be sure to make sure you have everything because they will not help you and say that you’re a liar and refuse to attend you. Atleast while that manager is there. I’m pretty sure I can count that I only had 3 boxes instead of 4. Apparently this “managers” name is Ryan. He was working September 29th at night time. White male with glasses, bald, and a beard, blue shirt and black pants. Must be unhappy with his life due to his horrible nasty attitude. I had a similar incident as the other reviewer named Crystal. I had called up there after we received our delivery to complain about something. Well it was the most BIZARRE phone call I’ve ever had in my 52 years on earth. And I’m not trying to be funny. There is something seriously wrong with Ron the manager. I believe that’s his name. Crystal said Ryan, so it’s one of those. Anyhow he was on the defense with complete attitude before I could hardly get one sentence out. Right off the bat he starts saying “ did you pay with cash or credit? I’ll just give you a refund!” I was like huh?? I’m just trying to tell you a couple things that your employees messed up on, I’m not even looking for a refund. He didn’t want to hear a word. Instead he got very volatile and strange! All of a sudden he just goes “ok mam you have a good night,” and hung up! I looked at my husband like omg, what just happened? That was the strangest most bizarre encounter I’ve ever had with a manager! So I called back to say you know what?! Now I will take you up on that refund! But guess what? They answered and then hung it right up. Wow, he is MESSED up. Nothing even happened. I was nicely trying to tell him something so maybe he could tell his employees the mistakes made and to improve things. I’m going to be contacting corporate for sure. This person should not be working there. And also as Crystal stated, the girl that answered the phone, I believe Brittany? Had total attitude just because I said, can I please talk to a manager. She had attitude and said he’s outside, I’ll put you on hold. Well I was on hold so long that it rang back to them again and she answered again with attitude saying he just walked in,and put me on hold. Then he answered and it was BIZZARE -O! Is help really still that hard to get? He probably works a thousand hours a week with little pay and wants to take it out on the world. Or perhaps I interrupted his cigarette break outside? Whatever the case, this guy needs REAL help!

11/2024- Decided to try them again today only to have metal shavings in my mouth!! At first, you would think it was from the bottom of the pizza from their pizza pans. But no, the bottom of the pizza was completely normal no dark spots or anything. So these metal shavings had to have been in the sauce or cheese or whatever. Unbelievable! The old world style pepperoni pizza is amazing!!! Delicious! Way better than Little Caesars old world style pepperoni pizza. I love their crust, love the two types of pepperoni on the pizza (they use both crispy suction cup smaller pepperoni slices, and bigger, fattier, rounder, flatter slices for a better textural mouth feel) creating more textural variety, and the cheese and sauce is way better than other chain pizza places. I just wish the pizzas were bigger and that the boxes they are carried in weren't so flimsy and more sturdy, and my pizza wasn't hot enough. Maybe if they worked on making their boxes better to insulate the heat to keep their pizzas hotter and fresher and making the pizzas bigger they would destroy the competition. Also maybe having 12 slices per pizza would be better than the 8 slice pies. But despite this, I personally like Papa John's better, but now Marco's is a close second place in the pizza game. Way better than Dominos, Little Caesars, and Pizza Hut for sure! Try Marco's Pizza... they are a tiny bit pricier than the others, but they make up for it in quality that is worth a few extra cents.
