This little Mexican restaurant packs a lot of flavor in every bite! It was absolutely beautiful inside the restaurant with bright colors and wide open glass views of busy Ocala. Sitting inside makes you feel like you are in a different part of the world, it's very cool. We experienced a very gracious host that was attentive and gave a great dining service. The restaurant is smaller than average but there is equally more seating outside. Perfect for date night or small family but if you have a large group, might want to call ahead. Parking is limited. There seems to be an area for more parking next to the restaurant but it's chained off. Perhaps one day they may want to expand over there. Traffic is challenging, I suggest going with traffic instead of attempting to pull across from the other side. We will definitely come back soon, probably at an odd hour to not deal with the traffic so much. Thank you for a...
Read moreHad a very nice lunch here. Everything was a notch above other Mexican restaurants in the area in terms of freshness of ingredients and taste profile. The place was a bit empty when we came in for lunch so I was a bit nervous to try it out, but the food and service were excellent. I had shredded chicken enchiladas; the salsa, tomatilla sauce, chicken, tortillas, cotija cheese, black beans, and lettuce were all very fresh, and the presentation was nice. Prices very reasonable for what you get. The waiter also recommended to try some of the Ecuadorean dishes next time. We came down from Gainesville and this place was much better than all but one or two of the Mexican restaurants in Gainesville, and half the price. I hope the restaurant succeeds, or considers opening a branch in...
Read moreWe were thoroughly impressed on our first visit to My Quate and can't wait to come back! The cuisine is exceptional across the board. The grilled chicken was tender and full of flavor, the shells were fresh, and the refried beans were authentically prepared, just like in the Southwest. We also appreciated the option of shrimp entrées on the menu. Our only minor critique was that the Mexican rice could benefit from a bit more seasoning to elevate its flavor. On the plus side, the soda was a steal at just $1.50 per can, served with a glass of ice. The restaurant itself was spotless and cozy, with all dishes served hot and fresh. If you're a Mexican food lover, we highly recommend My Quate - we'll...
