My first time ever coming to this Deli I didn't realize it was about to close. As there's a giant sign that says open across the front window. When I walked in I was greeted not very friendly a bit cold and we walked in as I went with a friend to any in there before we were greeted not very friendly at all. The lady quickly assess what we would like and I said that I wasn't sure that I had never been there before, the lady then responded to that I had 10 minutes to pick because they were closed. And I was shocked honestly I wanted to leave and not even try the sandwiches but I didn't want to be rude to my friend who had invited me there. The two ladies that were there did not offer as drinks or napkins or any such thing they just pretty much gave us their sandwiches and shove just on our way and then as we were walking outside the door it was the first time we get the real smile which was pretty much like yeah hurry up and get the hell out of here and have a great day I will not be...
Read moreI will never go to Southside Deli again just know prejudice is so real! The food is great as long as you call it on and they don’t know what color of your skin you have but the customer service is really awful I handed the cashier which is an older man and the delivery lady was standing next to him, I handed him my payment he rang it up and and then he looked at me and he threw my card down on the counter and the receipt and pen and looked at me nasty, I bite my tongue and paid and said thank you and he looked at me crazy him and the lady and I walked out with every one in there looking at me crazy like why is she in here! It’s a shame that we still have to live in a world where the color of your skin still matters to them! Southside Deli of Ocala Inc We should love each other regardless the color of our skin! We have to move forward in life but obviously this restaurant is still stuck in the past where they want service...
Read moreI was in the mood for pastrami on rye the other day and Southside deli was closed. I went to McAllister's deli and it was absolutely disgusting. To get myself back right again I tried stopping by Dave's NY deli the following day. While it was better than McAllister's, it didn't get me to where I felt I was back right again. Finally, today, Southside deli is open, so I stopped in there and ate another pastrami on rye and I am back to normal once again. You know, when someone destroys your pallet the way McAllister's did, it can take something quite good to get you back on track. There is no place to get a better deli sandwich than at the Southside deli in Ocala. Attached is not an ad photo, it was my...
