The food is perfectly delicious. The atmosphere is fun and uplifting and the staff is top of the line. This hidden gem in Waretown, NJ is a must visit for everyone. We dined with family on Sunday night and were treated to an incredible feast. Each dish is perfectly prepared and presented with flair. For appetizers we had the Brazed Scallops, Heirloom Tomatoes and the Evengrow Sourdough Toast - all delicious with delicate flavors that melt in your mouth. For dinner entrees we had Golden Tilefish, a delicious Pork dish and Yellowfin Tuna. Each entree is prepared with veggies and sauces that complement the entree and provide unique flavors. Each selection was delicious. The desserts are to die for. There is nothing plain or mediocre on the menu. This is a wonderful restaurant with carefully prepared food. Bring your friends and enjoy. Your hosts and owners Allen and Carolyn are the best. Best of luck. Jim & Kathy
10/11/25 We returned to Clemmy's Saturday night for a special birthday dinner. Once again the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. For appetizers we had the marinated beets, heirloom tomatoes and Evengrow Sourdough toast. Fresh produce with a beautiful and unique presentation - they were a great start to our dinner. Main entrees were Casio e Pepe (a classic Roman dish), Rigatoni Bolognese (with a special touch) and Braised short ribs (so tender and flavorful). The chef's care in preparation can be seen in each dish - the food looks great and tastes better. This is a special place with food you will enjoy and savor. There is also a nice menu of desserts. We had Granny's favorite orange cake, flourless chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding - mmmmm delicious. BYOB so you can save $ on drinks.

This small casual no-reservation gem is more than worth the wait, and you will wait. Don’t expect to sit there all night once you are seated. Since these folks want to see as many happy faces as possible, they are on a tight schedule and state so. The attentive service happened like clock work and our food arrived at the perfect time between courses. We never felt rushed or ignored.
A perfect casual high-quality dining experience is more than just rare these days, so most of us won’t have this sort of experience elsewhere.
Our foursome had to return the next night just to make sure we weren’t dreaming.
As for the food, the attention to detail was unexpected. The food quality and freshness was unmatched. Compared to a wide range of high end dining experiences technique relating to plating, sauces, textures, sear all amazed us.
There was a lightness to all the dishes; we had Tile Fish, Duck Breast, and even Pork Chop (best ever) and all were portioned perfectly. The appetizers were all terrific the Scallops and Ceaser salad were just incredible.
On to desert, we met Grandma who was behind the famous orange cake (a must). We tried all desserts over the two night dinners. They were the perfect finish without the sugar rush and guilt of overindulgence. Brilliant!
Oh yeah the price? When all these vital elements come together, would one expect to pay more? Yes, of course, but not at Clemmy’s. This just showed us there was more going on here than just a love of money. Too bad for me this happy diner lives 130 miles away.
These folks hit a grand slam for us two nights in a row, but don’t take our word for it, just go and put your name...
Read moreApologies in advance that my review is not as sophisticated as their food, but it def is as honest as it. Entrees we had the chicken and short ribs. And let's start by saying both dishes had kale as a small side.... And it is amazing! I have tried kale before and just made jokes about it since cause of how terrible it is. But this kale.....this kale.....if they just served me a bowl of this kale I would be happy. But the kale comes with other stuff too! Short ribs, didn't need a knife, and the tomatoe relish on top was awesome. But them smoked potatoes......come on now....we're in barnegat/ waretown, this ain't supposed to be here. The chicken has this thin sheet of crispy kraklin flavor goodness that sets it off! You think u seen crispy skin, nope not like this, maybe on TV, not IRL. Now you can. We weren't gonna get desert, but the food was so good we had to. Listen to me.....the descriptions on the menu do not do these things justice. They are too humble. We had the Grammy orange cake. Listen.....listen....are you listening....get the Grammys orange cake. The warm cake mixes with the cold gelato. Nope....you ain't even ready. But you deserve it, get it! I don't know what we did right around here to deserve this restaurant. But I am so happy they are here. It seems like the kind of place that would change the menu with the season and on the way home my wife and I were talking about what might be on the fall menu. How rediculous, but yet so exciting. Thanks you all so much, and I hope you stick around for...
