Merendino's Pizza & Ristorante — Restaurant in Ocean Township

One big problem with this place for me is that at night this place never has a few plain slices. Had to take a whole star off for that. Never has a plain pie in stock. I asked why and they said because no one buys it. I would buy it. I don’t understand, if they sold a Couple of slices out of that pie, they already paid for the whole pie. It really bothers me when a good business has an owner who can’t count passed 4, I have to say that this place has great Jersey pizza. It’s one of my favorites next to Atillios. But every time I have gone late night to get a few plain slices, they only have meat slices and things I don’t like!!! That have been sitting out all day! You can always add something but you can’t take it away from the slices. Another thing, plain pizza has no meat on it so it can’t go bad for the next day. 1 I can count to 1, 2 I can count to 2, 3 I can count to 3, 4 I can’t count no more!

As you walk in, you see the counter, however, to the left are very comfortable booths with comfortable leather seats and it is a quiet and comfortable, cozy and warm seating area. The people which work there are the best and they care that each customer is fully satisfied The owner cares about you like you're family This is not a luxury space, however, the food is as good as any Italian restaurant I've been to

I'm very picky about my pasta; even in Italy, I sought out only the best places. Recently, I've been craving pasta but didn't want to travel too far to satisfy my craving. Merendino Restaurant is so close to my house, and I was initially skeptical. Let me tell you, this place is amazing and truly authentic. I’m so glad I went. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the customer service is top-notch. I’ve tried three types of pasta so far: the linguine scampi with garlic and olive oil, pasta alla bolognese, and my favorite, linguine with mussels and marinara sauce.
