Del Taco — Restaurant in Oceanside

They REFUSED to GIVE ME extra SAUCE with my burrito! I've been ordering the same bean and rice burrito for several years a multitude of del Taco locations all throughout the United States and I always get a side of red and green sauce added as extra. Of all of the times I've had this meal I've never had an issue with the sauce request at any location until getting to this place. These people simply refused to sell me the sauce! I told them they could charge me whatever they wanted for the sauce but they said that they were "running out." Keep in mind that they had not run out, they were "running out" meaning that they could have still sold me the sauce BUT for whatever reason they would not give it to me. I was told I could get the red sauce packets and that, that, was the same thing. However the red sauce packets and the sauce that comes on the burrito itself is not the same!! Yes they are both red sauces but they are different types of sauces which is why I wanted extra red sauce that already came on the burrito vs. getting the sauce packets. Anyhow this was really odd and unexpected behavior from the restaurant. The whole experience was really bizarre and I'm not sure if I would go back there again as I do not find it appropriate or fair to refuse a customer an item of food when they are willing to pay for it and you have...

Run the other direction this place is a filthy disgusting mess. Boxes and open container stored all over the counter where they were prepping food. Bathroom was really dirty probably should have judged the restaurant by that bathroom before I went to the counter to order In the bathroom,somebody had put mud in the sink and there was something splattered all over the wall that was Brown God knows... The floor was gross, there were no paper towels and no soap in the bathroom, which I informed the guy at the counter about. a few minutes later the manager, his boss went and use the restroom came out and announced there was no soap and then went directly back to working the cash register and then started helping bag the food. She never washed her hands!!! Guy in the back prepping food was wearing gloves but proceeded to open the refrigerator door and get a new bag a lettuce out, dumped it into the prep area, Missed a bunch of it landed on the counter next to the open boxes and containers scooped it up in his hand and put it into the prep bin and then make someone's salad without ever changing gloves! the counters in the floor the tables were all filthy . I had ordered food asked for my money back and left along with 3 people behind me. I can't believe this place...

Giada (I think was her name when I asked) she wasn’t wearing a name tag. Was working the register around 1:15 pm on 07/26/24 and was incredibly rude to my father who is a disabled veteran. He wanted to order a taco and I wanted to order the birria combo that was 11.99. The total came up to $25 and some change which was more than the $14 or so we were expecting when my father just wanted a taco. We nicely told her he just wanted a taco and she seemed irritated to have to change the order due to a misunderstanding and it almost seemed she intended to do it on purpose to sell the large combo or make a taco combo to sell more. She raised her voice at my dad and slammed my cup on the counter. It was quite irritating granted I felt out to California to visit my dad once a year and then to see how someone could be so rude and talk to him in that manner.
