San Diego Surf — Attraction in Oceanside

Got me back on my feet! My son and I hit up Doug the night before we were headed out of town and could not have been more impressed with him from start to finish! He had an appointment and was unable to teach us but hooked us up with his partner, Cruz. Our lesson was AWESOME! Both the guys were so helpful and told us where to be and what to do. I went surfing 20 years ago and had a fantastic first-time experience, but then I had a scary experience 2 years ago in Santa Monica with a group lesson and said I would never do it again. I love the beach and being in the water, so I decided to give it another go and I'm so glad I did. Cruz got me back on the board and feeling confident again. Booked this for my son and his best friend. Perfect activity for teenagers! Doug’s communication was efficient and clear, which made booking and finding the beach location super simple. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. The boys loved learning from him! He gave consistent feedback through the entire lesson, helping them to take what they learned on land and apply it in the water. The beach area was a great place for learning, with a sandy bottom. Finding the place was easy, parking was right there, and the yellow tent was easy to stop. Having everything included is amazing, especially pictures. I had never surfed before, so my partner and I signed up. It can be intimidating but they are detail focused on making sure everyone is safe and having a great time. I went from never touching a board, to getting up on a wave the first time. The fundamentals are taught on land so you know what to do when you are in the water. They also help pick waves, get you on, and coach you on what to do or what to fix. They were also very personable and easy to connect with. It was at a beautiful spot and we cant wait...
