I'm ecstatic to have Tikka Masala Hut in town! I love Indian food, and the places around here as far as Carlsbad have left me a bit disappointed, my favorite place is at the far edge of Vista but I rarely visit it as it's quite the trip and I'm rarely in that area, so seeing this place on my way home was a huge welcome surprise! It's now my new favorite! As soon as you walk in you are greeted to the wonderful aroma of various spices as well as various treats and condiments, it all looked so tasty!
I got some Butter Chicken, Matter Paneer Korma, Chicken Biryani and Garlic Naan, and it was all AH MA ZING. Family loved it and we agreed it's the best Indian we've had since moving here. Super flavorful and spicy, I'm usually careful because I know that Thai and Indian food doesn't play around when it comes to spice so I did around a 5 and that packed such a nice kick! We loved it! The Garlic Naan was so fresh and delicious we fought over the last piece, I should have gotten more lmao.
I also got to try Rose Milk for the first time, and it was a wonderful new experience, it was a very intense but delicious drink, it's perfumey but not in a bad way, it was super refreshing! I'm already wanting to go back and try some of the other things they have on their menu! I didn't even have time to take pictures, we devoured everything, it...
Read moreThe food was SO “slap-ya-mama” good, I called the restaurant back to share my gratitude with the family that prepared it.
We’ve driven by this location many times but today was our first time trying it out. The food was so flavorful: tasty, creamy, appropriate spiciness. The two adults and child in my party were all excited about every item we ordered and we ordered a lot. Three entrees, an order of samosas, an order of pakora, and three orders of naan was more than enough for us to take home, divvy up, and enjoy a tasting feast. Note: there were 2 samosas in one order, which we would’ve ordered more of; there were 6 pakora in an order, which was enough for us; and there were 3-4 large slices of naan in each order, which we ordered too much of.
More help navigating the large menu and explaining some of the dishes we were unfamiliar with could’ve helped to elevate our time in the restaurant. But again, our overall experience was very positive.
We will absolutely be back for more...
Read moreThis place was Outstanding. I had the Veggie Samosas which were great sized and absolutely packed with flavor. Then I had the Madras Chicken Curry. A creamy coconut style Curry, again just punching with flavor. I like spicy food, so I went for level 7. It was perfect for me. Hot enough to give me the sniffles and leave my lips with a little burning, but not so hot that I’d have to go to the hospital. I’ll probably stay with level 7 when I try my next Curry, but if I want to punish myself one day, maybe I’ll go for higher. With prices for everything rising over the last few years, I feel like it’s harder and harder to feel like I’m getting value AND great food when I eat out, but here, I really felt like I got great bang for my buck. I live south down in San Diego, and will for sure give myself excuses to come back up to Oceanside just to...
