My family and I have been on a mission to find the best tacos in our area and The Ocoee Taco company is definitely not it! Nothing about our experience with this establishment was good and if I could give negative stars I would. When we first arrived to pick up our online order I was put off by the furniture out front and on the patio but I am not one to judge a book by its cover and based off of the positive reviews was just excited to eat some good tacos. When we walked in the man working the counter couldn't find our order he went in the back and then came out and told me they started working on it. I was a little annoyed since I was there on time for the order and they JUST started making it but no big deal things happen. He then proceeds to tell me that next time we need to order over the phone and not online because the food cost more online because of fees, it wasn't even what he said that really bothered me but the condescending tone and the fact that he was talking while eating whatever he just shoved in his mouth when he walked out of the kitchen that got me. Again I let it go and patiently waited for the order with my 3 year old. While waiting for my order my son spots a huge roach most likely a palmetto which I know happens in Florida no matter what but still not something you want to see around your food especially your first time dinning somewhere. We wait and our food comes 15 minutes later I tell the guy thank you and leave. When I get home and open the food I am immediately disappointed by the size and presentation. I have had plenty of authentic tacos and these were lacking in every way, the meat was bland and over cooked to the point that it was crunchy the limes and cilantro were old and the radishes were also old and dried out. The store bought chips were a let down and the flat sprite did not help. Not to mention the pureed beans. Then my sons quesadilla which I asked for the meat to be on the side was filled with bland dry chicken which he refused to eat which is why we get it on the side because he will not eat it if the meat is inside. We at this point we were extremely disappointed and hungry but the food was nasty and we decided to not eat it and order elsewhere waste of 58 dollars. I was chewing my last bite if my first and only taco that I will ever eat from here and then I bit down on a chicken bone. Normally this wouldnt be a big deal but for someone with a temporary filling after a root canal this immediatelty caused pain in my moouth and hopefully did not crack my tooth. I called the establishment and the owner was not there and I was told I need to call back tomorrow. I am not looking for anything just want to share my honest experience with others before they decide to go here. We will continue our Taco Journey elsewhere.

BEWARE OF THE CATORING! Nice, rustic and authentic mexican restaurant with excellent flavors and nicely presented dishes. I had the green mole and I LOVED it. The tacos are small but really flavourful. Tables inside and outside, fast service and great prices. A hidden gem. They do catering BUT, BEWARE; it didn't go well for us. I called Francisco a few times and I noticed he didn't take notes. He asked me to call him 2 days before the event, again! When I did, he was "busy" and didn't remember what we had talked about. I had asked for fresh tacos, served hot by two people (for $200), with a meat, pork and chicken selection and all the sauces, etc. He even sent me a video! Well, the day of the event he arrived early, which is not bad, but he started counting the 2 hours from that moment, not from the time we had agreed the food was to be served. On top of that, he brought a selection of burritos, ready made tacos, chicken quesadillas, rice and beans, (not the menu we had agreed) in aluminum containers, not chaffing dishes with warmers, cheap cheap presentation! We were doing a game at that time and 15 minutes later, when I served myself, the food was cold!! I asked my guests, who had served themselves before, and they all said it was cold. Frank's answer was that it was our fault because we played a gamed and everything got cold. I told him it was HIS responsibility to keep the whatever food HE decided to bring, HOT. For crying out loud, buy some chaffing dishes and take notes! He only brought 1 person and he pocketed the other $100. I was so embarrased!!! It was my daughter's first Baby Shower. A total disaster.

Julia, the owner, is an absolute sweetheart. I went to Walmart after work to pick up some soup, medicine, and a small grocery haul for my sister who was at home sick, but I left empty handed because I didn't have my physical card and I didn't know that Walmart in the US doesn't accept apple pay (I was only in town for the summer). As I get back to my car and text my sister, I get a knock on my window. Julia saw me leave empty handed, and asked if I needed any money; she would not take no for an answer. She brought me back into the store, recovered my cart, and paid for all of my groceries. She told me that I reminded her of her son, and I learned that she has a Mexican restaurant just a short ways away. When my sister was feeling better, we eagerly visited and were happy we did. The Ocoee Taco Company is the perfect spot for those seeking delicious, authentic Mexican flavours. Food was incredibly tasty, service was quick, and we did not leave hungry. Above all else, the owner is a truly good person. I would and do not hesitate to recommend this place to any friends in the area seeking a quality Mexican meal.

Our family tried it for the first time last night (10/11/2019) almost reluctantly, but were up for trying some place new (for us) and local.

Were were only almost reluctant due to a previous business there. However, this place, albeit rather small, quaint, and cozy on the inside, presented itself with the fare of a more formal larger scale dining establishment.

The gentleman behind the counter (where you first place your order prior to choosing a seat either inside or at one of the several tables outside) appeared to me initially as a gruff and possibly overbearing resemblance to "The Soup Nazi".

Boy was I glad to be "eating crow" within a short while and gladly so.. He was actually a very nice and warm individual once you spark up conversation.

I asked if he were the owner to which he half-jokingly but with all seriousness admitted, "I work FOR the owner...my wife".

This business has been here for quite some time now and only gets it's advertisement via word-of-mouth of which I was informed after asking for any take home or to-go menus, to which he replied, "We've never had anything like that. We've solely relied on word-of-mouth.

The do have a rather large following (or seemingly loyal fans base) as it was pretty busy (an usually is) from open to close (8:30pm)every day of the week.

The food, to which the man behind the counter admitted was from family recipes was excellent to say the least.

Our family are ALL foodies and from our experience (having dined at MANY Hispanic food locations/restaurants, has found one of our newest "go-to" hot spots. Just wish we could have...scratch that...WOULD have broke down and tried it much sooner!!

Kudos to the OTC Family. Excellent food and EXCELLENT service...
