This is actually a really nice park...
I stumbled upon this park one day while doing a 10 mile walk around the Apopka area, from my home. It's immediately apparent that the property is well maintained, as there is absolutely no trash to be found, on the grounds. Sadly, along the shoreline, you will find some bottles here and there and some fishing line, BUT, if you aren't fishing and just enjoying the area, it's pretty nice.
There are a few things to do there, if so inclined. If you enjoy fishing, there are a couple of piers, a boat dock and a launch point for said boats. One time there filming, there was a boat, pulling an inner-tube around for a while, as well as a few kayaks. Most of the times I am there, there are plenty of people fishing from the piers.
Between the areas for the fishing piers, there is a large area with quite a few covered concrete slabs ,with grills. These covered areas being pretty large, to accommodate families and friends wanting to just hang out and eat.
Scattered up and down the park are park benches (anchored to concrete slabs), plenty of seating for individuals walking up and down the park.
The park isn’t very "deep", meaning the area of the park from the street to the lakes edge is only about 10-25 feet in depth. This can been seen from the aerial shot I took. (Sorry for the film quality - didn't have an ND Filter on the drone camera and was filming INTO the sun). The park is definitely a lot longer than it is deep, but there is a lot of grass for kids to run in and play. There seems to be adequate parking and it is convenient as well.
I do like the park and plan on shooting there a few more times in the near future, once I get my new camera dialed in for the area...

Read moreI love my little piece of paradise and I hope it never changes, it brings me joy to walk my dogs there and just sit in peace watching the water birds, and watch people fishing. I feel safe with my dogs there as I know there won't be a dog that will attack my pets, I live near Wurst Rd and I DO NOT walk my dog on my own street, as I encounter people hauling but on their pedal bikes, motorbikes, golf carts on the SIDEWALK and they all think they have the right of way, there are also an inordinate number of LOOSE animals (dogs) that have tried to attack my pets on my walks on Wurst. People do need to pick up after themselves, stop throwing garbage in the park! There are a ton of garbage cans people! Throw your crap away! Also, be respectful, it is a neighborhood too! This is your place, respect and cherish it, let's keep...
