Alfredo's Paleteria — Restaurant in Odessa

I have been going there for yrs and yesterday I was over charge for 3 ice cream cones small ones & a chicharrón! I have never been charge so much for just those 4 things !!! I spoke with the lady and she told me they charge certain percentage for debit fees I told her I got charge $25 how is that possible and she said idk that’s how much we charge! Never ducking going back! The ice cream had a super bad taste my kids didn’t enjoy eating it and the chicharrones were super hard ! Please people make sure you guys check your receipt I didn’t get mine and I told her that why she over charge me it was $22.63 and then I seen my account that I was charge $25 not sure if she put tips! But make sure you check and ask for receipts or just don’t go there I have never gotten charge so much for just 4 things! Ice cream for kids are 2.49 and the chicarrones 7.99 I got 3 ice cream cone and 1 chicharrones that was supposed to be 15.46! Save your trip and just look for a place doesn’t OVERCHARGE...

I went here for years but after my last visit two weeks ago, I have decided I will not return again. I bought two horchatas and we had to spit it out immediately. Something was rancid. The employee was alone and said she was unable to give me a refund. She did offer to give me something else but I just wanted a refund as it is pricy and I was very nauseated. She put me on the phone with the owner who first tried to dismiss my claim, saying they had just made the batch that morning. Then she asked me to leave my name and number so she could make it right. This is a little hole in the wall place that has excellent paletas and various Mexican treats. The inside definitely could use some fixing up, but if you go in looking for the best treats, you will not be disappointed. Staff were nice although if you speak only english, you might have some trouble unless you have someone that can translate. Despite me giving "Deer in the headlights" look when the girl spoke spanish to me and not picking up on the hint that I can't speak Spanish, I luckily had someone who could translate.
