T-Star Donuts — Restaurant in Odessa

I came here due to all the great reviews, however, the attitude I was given upon my arrival did not match. I have a medical alert service dog that accompanies me everywhere for over 10 years and the girl at the counter told me I couldn’t be in the store because she sells food. I explained to her that he is a service dog and she demanded paperwork as proof. I refused because it’s against ADA regulations to request documentation and that’s basically asking me to show proof of my disability. She then said that she has the right to deny service to anyone and waved me to the door.

There was another gentleman there who tried to help me and he also walked out after canceling his order. He apologized to me when he didn’t have to and I greatly appreciate his support.

It’s not the best way to start my morning and I feel disappointed and frustrated at how I was treated. I’ve never had any trouble entering establishments in Odessa. I would recommend never coming to this store if this is the attitude they show. They’re rude and don’t know their laws. I wasn't done ordering and the lady at the window was pressing about me ordering 2 dozen donut holes was not enough to pay with a credit card. First off I was not done ordering. After she said that I didn't even order everything I wanted. Second she didn't even give me what I ordered the first time around so had to pay a second time to get the 2 dozen holes. (1.99 each) Lastly I asked for 2 jalapeno cheese kolaches and I got 2 cheese. They weren't bad thats the reason for the 2 stars but it would of been a higher rating if the lady wasn't rushing or being rude of what I was ordering. We came here for donuts for our Sunday school class. Also, ordered one apple fritter, which I tasted on our way to church. I was suspicious of the fritter because when I took it out of the bag, it was icebox cold. One bite told me that it was either about 3 days old, or was made with stale flour. Inedible, and was charged $3 for it. Then I became concerned about serving the donuts to the class, fearing that they were equally bad. I won’t be back to this...
