When placing my to go order online today, I realized I had never tried Texas roadhouse mac & cheese! Imaginably, I was quite excited to be tasting it for the first time today. I think most sane human beings, get a little excited at the very least for trying new mac & cheese, and I'm surely no exception. I returned home with my order, prepared to feast, As the mac & cheese was only one of two side items accompanied to a main course of beef tips with onions and gravy. I opened the bag separating my utensils and different items of food and arranging them in front of me while I prepared my tastebuds for a nice meal. I started with two rolls slathered in the signature cinnamon butter this chain offers. After consuming the first two bites of the very first roll, I was rock solid between the legs. No flaccidity in sight; as per usual. As I began opening the sealed Togo container that housed the main course I could already see the yellow hues peering from under the steam bubbling on top of the lid. This was a sides first situation. I needed to get to it. My stomach flustered as my head thought "Will I like this Mac and cheese or not.."
The moment I glanced into the cup of noodles and cheese product I was sold, my eyes couldn't believe what I saw. Every cell of blood that had been vigorously coursing throughout my phallic member had sense been shifted to my forehead and eyeballs in a fit of rage. THE AUDACITY THESE TR STAFF MEMBERS, KITCHEN WORKERS, etc.. have to provide me literally noodles and cheese. In the container together, perhaps. But, an overall rule of thumb of a Mac and cheese you'd think would be to mix it somewhat or a tiny bit even. But no. I jammed soft elbo macaroni with a tablespoon of cheese sauce product gathered on top. And it tasted wretched to say the least. Texture is off putting as well. Thank goodness I had some sweetened Publix iced tea to wash this atrocity down with, I don't know what I may have done without it. Where id possibly be in the moment that I'm typing this review. I could be hunched over the toilet, or even hospitalized. You never know.
In their defense. The Togo woman handing my food to me did welcome me to check the bag and make sure everything was in order. As I only looked to see all items were there, I did not think checking the quality of the plates product would be a pressing concern. Never again will I be so foolish. Texas road house 1 , Davebenny 0. You got me this time, but...

Original Review:
I really want to love this place because they are so close and I love steak, so much so that I gave them a third try to get it right. Both times I ordered before, they missed the mark on cooking my ribeye, so this time I decided to get both a bone in ribeye and a Ft Worth ribeye to compare side by side. First, they got the Fort Worth wrong. Ordered medium rare, slight pink, and got it back near burnt. Then the bone in I ordered well came back cold and near raw. It wouldnāt be so bad if this werenāt considered a āsteakā place.
Iāll give it another shot at some point, but the pain is still a little raw here (yes, pun intended).
I ordered to go again. It came back the same way as above. Angry, I called and spoke to Valerie who was incredibly kind and made it right. I told her weād come and dine in to give a fair review. That was today. They did not disappoint.
The wait was minimal for dinner time. We were met with smiling friendly faces immediately. As we were sat, our waitress Tia honestly has no idea the task she was up for in order to get this review changed from two stars, but she killed it. She showed me how to pick my steak, we talked about what I wanted and ordered the rest of our food. She was attentive, friendly, and got everything just perfect. Amber, the manager checked in on us as well and we had a great conversation about the staff and restaurant.
Now the food:
The steak was perfectly cooked, perfectly cut, and perfectly seasoned. Absolutely five stars. The ribs were perfectly sauced. Another five stars. Zero complaints. They crushed it and redeemed with a truly five...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust want to say... its our second time at this location ... and both times kitchen has failed. I didnt leave a bad feedback the first time because the maÅe manager actually fixed the problem and removed the cold meal of the check ... we looked past the food not being hot just lightly warm and the service was terrible. Decided to try them again today and we got a great service. she was on point but ... kitchen and management .. failed. We got 2 kids meals. Ordered them 15 min before we ordered our appetizer and we asked that it comes as soon as possible so we can split it for the kids and keep them busy. Well...... our appetizer arrived 10 min before kids meal.... then the kids cheeseburgers were ridiculously burnt and the bun hard as a rock... their chicken tenders were nearly cold..... so one was sitting waiting on the oder what it appears to me.... manager said she would replace them for us.... and brought back something that I laughed at... not even a bite of meat on those buns... I said they are a quarter of the size of the other one but she just ignored it. I guess... she thinks she fixed the problem. In the least this should have been off the check since one kids meal came cold, second burnt and replacement with nearly NO MEAT. Kids finished their food and I asked if our dinner is coming at all because now we have been there for ever and food ... still not there... I was ready to cancel the main meal and leave as our baby was getting bored after us being there for an hour and a half. Shout out to our waitress (wish I had her name but im sure the.managment will know who I am after reading this and can see who served us) but she's the only reason this place didnt get a 1 star ... she was on point and served us properly. Management needs...
