The food was amazing which is why I’m even giving two stars. However my dad took me and my boyfriend out for sushi. My boyfriend is allergic to shrimp and crab. Over the years the allergy has gotten better so he can be around it, but can not eat it. My dad ordered shrimp tempura and California rolls. Me and my boyfriend ordered Alaskan rolls. We stressed to the waitress that my boyfriend was allergic to these things and to keep them separate. We wait an hour for sushi just for the waitress to only bring out half our food instead of all at once. She brings out 2 sushis on one tray. I asked her which ones they were. The shrimp tempura was obvious, but the others weren’t. She first off didn’t even know what she brought out to us and guessed it was California rolls. So only my dads food was out. She then goes back to the kitchen asks and comes back, and says it’s actually both orders of the Alaskan rolls. I stress so this has no shrimp or crab in it correct? She assured me it did not. So me and my boyfriend start eating. She comes back like 15 minutes later with our other food and says this is the other order of shrimp tempura and the Alaskan and California rolls. I immediately start to panic and tell her that she had said previously that the other plate was the two orders of Alaskan rolls. She then tries saying that isn’t what she said, and that the other plate was both Alaskan and California as well. However not even that was correct they were all the same sushi on that plate, and were all California. My boyfriend had ate about 6 or 7 rolls with crab. Luckily nothing happened we took him home and gave him Benadryl. Though moral of the story is even if you tell them you’re allergic to things they don’t even know what they’re serving so they may kill you. Will only be ordering out if we ever even...
Read moreNormally, I don't complain about service, but when a couple who was there after my boyfriend and I received all their food and my boyfriend had to ask for just a refill for me after 20 minutes, I'm gonna be upset. My boyfriend received his food well before I did, and I had to wait another 10+ minutes for mine. I went to express my concern to a manager, but honestly, I just had it boxed up and left. The food was very well quality and their Boston roll was amazing. The food was nothing to complain about, but the service I got today was well under my expectations for it only having 2 other tables after our arrival and an empty dining room upon arriving. I don't plan on returning just for this alone especially it being my first time being there. No restaurant is perfect and I understand mistakes will be made, but with how it was handled in the resolution of the issue, I'm dissatisfied. I see on both facebook and google all the good reviews and they're all great. Maybe it was a fluke accident or something, but I just hope sharing my experience and choosing not to be...
Read moreTheir food is amazing. I keep seeing negative comments about the most ridiculous things but I can assure you, they’re wrong. The building is deceitful from the outside view, inside it is very cozy, clean, and peaceful and decorated with a side area with a bar. The food is wonderful, you can tell that every meal, wether it’s a sushi roll or bento box was made with care. The staff is always so kind and friendly. This place is almost like a hidden gem for the sheer fact they opened up in an old fast food structure that has been a million different things for the past 20 years. It is a bit more expensive than your standard Main Moon type Asian take out, but this isn’t your average Asian take out. You pay for what you get, ya know? If you’re looking for dirt cheap sushi then you probably have never had real sushi and should just hit up the local grocery or convenient mart. (Gross)
