Warning: I am very steamed, so a very long explanation ahead.
I visit the raccoon road or youngstown-warren road stores several times per month.
I ordered 10 old-fashioned hotdogs & 10 plain with the toppings in separate containers, explaining, I didnt know what everyone wants on their hotdog.
I arrived home to find the 10 hotdogs which should have been plain, were exactly like the other 10.
I called the restaurant, and was told that they would fix the order, I returned to raccoon rd store, only to have to verbally go back and forth w/drive-thru staffer who stared she tool the order, but I didn't specify plain hotdogs. I spent 10mins trying to prove to her that I have no reason to lie. I also brought the 10 hotdogs in question to switch out w/ corrected order. The staffer said "I can give you 10 more but I have to charge you"
No matter how I tried to reason with her....... (Ex: why would I drive all the way back here to lie to you, and whty would I return the 10 hotdogs that I do not want?) .......she kept insisting I was wrong., telling me all her coworkers heard me order the way the hotdogs were made.
I was frustrated and just in disbelief at having to try to prove that I shouldn't be asked to pay for an order. I said "nevermind, keep them".
At that monment, I saw my grandson who was walking through their parking lot; I called him over to give him a hug. As I was hugging him, she relented offering to now give them to me " I have them right here, I'll give them to you".
" I responded, you just said I had to pay for them, so no I do not want them, 🧐 and "here take the hotdogs that were made wrong". I handed her the hotdogs and left so steamed. All I was trying to do is feed our grandchildren and get them to their Christmas concert. It was tge Principal. $22 for 10 hotdogs is a lot if money. Gas costs a lot of money.😳 All I wanted was what I ordered, not to argue.
I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN buy food from any of their restaurants. 🙄
I went to Sheetz ordered the same 10 hotdogs, and fed our babies. THANK You Sheetz staffers. They were all amazing. Even allowing...
Read moreThe first time I ever trier this place I was suprised how good it was to chick fil a but this time I was disappointed but I'm not going to leave a rude review as someone did below but just be nice and honest. The chicken wasn't as good as when it first opened and the BBQ that use to taste very similar to chick fil a's Polynesian seemed to change. I'm not sure if it's inconsistent because it's homemade I think or if maybe they got in trouble because it taste too similar to chick fil a. The fries we soggy this time but in the past the fries, chicken and sauce was perfect! Even my friend agreed in the past this place was amazing. I'm just being honest because it just seemed every aspect changed such as the breading of the chicken wasn't awesome like when I first had it. I would love to see this place succeed. My other critique is I wasn't a fan of the "come back sauce." I think if you change things to how they were when you first opened then you'd give chick fil a a run for their money! The staff seemed friendly I just want to leave positive criticism because I'd love this place to really make it big.
Whoever left the super mean comment below could have said it nicer. I only understand that level of nasty if someone attacked or abused her but that was out of line for simply not liking a meal.
I still would give this place a third try I'd they just made positive subtle changes with the food. As I stated it was 10/10 the first time I...
Read moreMy wife and I found this place online. We decided to try it last night and were very impressed with the overall experience.
We went through the drive through and had excellent customer service people were kind and considerate. They gave recommendations, but they did not force us to purchase anything.
When we pulled around to pay, we handed the attendant our card and the food came out 30 seconds later. We had the chill dogs and fries. We enjoyed the taste of the chili. It was not too greasy or spicy, actually it was a little sweet. No taste was overpowering and it all blended together to make the perfect chili dog.
The fries were some of our favorite fries we have ever had. They tasted like they were homemade. Once again the fries were not to greasy and were a perfect blend of crisp and soft.
Finally the cost of everything is critical in today's time. This was yet another area Hot Dog Allie did not disappoint. The prices were very reasonable for the food portions that you received.
I would overall give the experience a higher rating than 5 stars, but since 5 stars is the best I can give, 5 stars it is. My wife and I will be back again for sure. Great job guys! Keep up...
