I have heard so many wonderful things about this place. I cannot honestly say I experienced any of them today.
The service was the best part of my visit. The gentleman tending to us was extremely nice, well-mannered, and attentive (as much as possible with being the only one on the floor). Though only having 1 person seems to be an oversight on the possibility of getting more than 3 tables (which happened, and indeed caused service to slow for everyone involved).
I ordered the BLT burger. Fried Egg in addition to a traditional burger sounded like a treat. However, there was a few complications. The bun was smaller than the patty (considerably) causing it to soak, fast, and being coated with greasy fingers no matter where I attempted to grab it. I am not sure on whether the seasoning was just used very liberally or not, as every bite was extremely salty. The bacon on the burger was a nice size, but cold. The mac and cheese that came as a side was barely warm. It was as if it was held on a barely lit steam table for hours with the lid off.
As far as the building itself, it was nice and clean. Though, I wouldn't call blasting AC/DC (as much as I enjoy them) right in your customer's ears a nice way to "set the tone". The menu had a weird font, was hard to decipher, and felt odd just being pieces of paper stapled together. Also not a fan of "sauce" being spelled "sawse". It's a flavor fail in my opinion. Jersey flair in Ohio, with the name being tied directly to a town that is not in the slightest bit North-Eastern. I don't get it.
I cannot, and personally will not currently recommend this place to those I know. I have taken notice of the 5 star reviews thay share stories of amazing "pizza", but there is much more to a restaurant than that. It was just a disappointing...
Read moreWe just ate there for the first time. We walked in right before 8, not knowing that they closed at 8. They said we were fine to eat, so we sat down and ordered food. My wife got boneless wings and I got a double jalapeño burger with tots. Burger was very good, and my wife liked her wings. We seriously had no idea they were closing until we walked out, so kudos to them for not turning us away. Good food and good service....
Read moreWe ate there and the food was delicious, the music was a bit loud for the few elderly that were there. BUT we had a big group planning to go. We called them the day before and asked if they would be open. They said yes 11-7. Of course when we showed up they were closed. Can't do business if you lie the your patrons and are closed most the time. We won't be...
