Master Pizza Painesville — Restaurant in Ohio

We have been eating here for three generations. Things have gone downhill dramatically recently. We called ahead because we had a large party. Guy who answered didn’t care. When we arrived we had to put our own tables together with no help or suggestions. Our tables were sticky. I had to clean both using baby wipes. Bathroom was filthy. Feces around toilet. Flies in bathroom. Pizza was good but did not taste the same as it has tasted for decades. Staff was a bunch if kids yucking it up and barely helping customers. Looked unkept and dirty. We waited a little while in the parking lot before leaving. When we passed by the front window, our table was still unbussed. We even asked if management had changed. Our waitress said owners are the same. The Master Pizza signs outside are different and the original signs are gone. This was hands down my family’s absolute favorite pizza shop. It is beloved in our home. I am so sad to experience the demise of this once wonderful place. The downward spiral has slowly been taking place for years. Pizza BOGO for us from now on....

My only wish here is to express my highest level of disappointment for the so-called service and food I received at this pizza place last night. I chose to take my hard earned cash and order takeout two pizzas with extra cheese and pepperoni last night. I paid over $30 to wait for over an hour only for my order to be placed on a rack to "cool off" as I'm sitting there waiting for it! An employee apologized, gave me a coupon and I left with a correct order, lukewarm, with the second pizza being almost completely raw! Props to this employee and the one who took my order. The adult and teenage staff served others long before mine was done. Never received the can of coke I ordered either. The staff, other than the one who took my order and the one who apologized: more concerned with shooting the breeze and goofing off behind the counter than doing their jobs. If at all possible, I would give this joke of a joint zero stars. I am thoroughly disgusted and appalled at the lack of manners, cooked food, timely delivery and the squalid uncouth behavior of the staff! I WANT...

We've been long-time customers at the Painesville Master Pizza for years but recently have noticed a decrease in customer service.

We always call ahead with our pizza order so the food is ready shortly after we arrive. Tonight took an 40 extra minutes! And they were not busy, only two other tables.

The current servers are high school age (couldn't serve alchohol) who act and behave like they really don't care. They'd rather drink pop and talk with their friends. When we inquired about why it was taking so long she shrugged her shoulders and said I don't know.

The owner was absentee tonight which I think may be a good part of the problem.
