Sam's Wedge Inn — Restaurant in Ohio

After review the other reviews…I am inclined to believe this is a racist incident. This place is reserved for a certain group of people! Very disappointed. About 11:30am-two cars in the parking lot. First impression is extremely important! I walk in to this place, of which I have never been. There are three men at the bar, one sitting down and two standing. They appear to be talking. The man sitting down looks at me and my son and returns to the conversation with the two other men. No body to greet us…At least let us know that someone will be with you. We are standing there for about 3 mins and no interaction. I then raise my voice to ask the man at the bar… if they are open. The man seated stated “oh yeah just seat yourself.” Then a wait staff female walks out from the back. By then I’m irritated for clear lack of unprofessionalism. Didn’t have an opportunity to taste the food. After inquiring why so unprofessional and asked who is the man seated at the bar; staff responded that is the manager- to my surprise. Clearly, if the leadership isn’t there, there would be no way that the staff has responsibility to be professional! No spending my hard earned money on the likes of this business. They don’t take the time to show any courtesy or customer service: and as such don’t deserve to reap any benefits from my family, friends or myself- once I notify everyone. I stopped in to Sam’s Wedge Inn, located in Austintown, Ohio. I had heard about this place for a while, I was told the food was pretty good. So I pulled in the parking lot, which was more than ample, found a spot on the side of the building. As I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a server who told me to seat myself. The seating options were tables or seats at the bar, I picked a table. A different server came over to give me a menu and took my drink order, She was very polite & pleasant. As I looked around, I noticed several televisions around the bar area. This would be a perfect place to enjoy the game. The bar also looked well stocked. A good selection of beers on tap& a nice selection of liquors. My meal was out pretty quick, nice & hot. My Philly steak sandwich with tater tots was great, very tasty for sure. I enjoyed my dining experience here. I really liked the cozy atmosphere of this bar. I strongly recommend you give this...

So the menu is extremely limited which I agree too many items on a menu is problematic. However, I would have liked to see about 4 more items on menu. I also question some of the choices they used. I realize alot of people like hot or spicy items, but to have about 3 out of 6 items that way doesnt leave alot of choices unless you order a side or appetizer for your meal. That being said I would still consider going back, the service was good, (although it took awhile), the staff felt very friendly and the prices arent out of line. I had the 6 bone in wings which were a little over done which made the tips hard but I could still eat them and buffalo chips which very tasty.
