We went to The Mac House after a kayaking trip and weāre eager to try this new restaurant. All in all, the Mac and cheese had good flavor and I would get it again. However, the melt lacked substance and was really just a slice of cheese and some sprinkle of lobster meat.
The service however left much to be improved on. The wait for Mac and cheese was tremendous, close to 35 minutes before we got our food. The server brought our food out in two orders to a table of 6 which is how we ordered, but on the first order they just left the tray on our table with no explanation of what was what (I also had to inform them my fries were missing). The next delivery, the food and serving tray was left on the table as well. I couldnāt help feel bad for the Door Dash driver who had been waiting a similar time for food to go which I am sure hurt his earnings for the day. Also, the staff was filling salad dressing containers on the small counter at the front of the restaurant with no gloves (not that I care but others do) and this just came off as unprofessional.
I always want to be as kind as possible and this location has potential as the Mac and cheese is good. To bring back return customers, the service needs to speed up substantially, be more friendly to guests entering the establishment, and more instructive as guests may be trying it for...
